      Are you just experimenting with the lemon trees? You’d have to graft a citrus for it to be like the parent tree. It’s a crapshoot to know what you’re going to get, it may not be edible but it will be a fruit that only you have

    Last year was the first time I built my own soil in containers, Im excited to get to use it as a finished product this year! Will the cabbage caterpillars come out of the soil and eat the plants if its covered like this or does a moth have to lay eggs first so it would be safe? Those green and black striped worms ate a lot of my seedlings last year

    • @Hectanooga1
      @Hectanooga1 Рік тому +1

      Cabbage caterpillers HATE onions... so plant some onions among your cabbage. I have Egyptian creeping onions, they are perennials, they grow and grow and grow... year after year. And even in winter (in a harsh climate), I can go outside and get some green tops whenever I need. I brought in a pot last week, (I plant mostly in containers as we have deer... many deer, so crops are just not safe.)

      The cabbage month lays eggs and that’s how you end up with the green caterpillars. If you have tulle covering it and the cabbage moths, cannot get to your plants then you won’t have the green caterpillars.
