Thank you for introducing me to some great new photographers. The first one by Paton really blew my mind but each one of them were special. The last one by Waltz reminded me of the night watch by Rembrandt.
9:40 The photo from Harry Gruyaert wasn't shot from inside a shop but rather from the Central Station, which is one of the most beautiful train stations in the world. Greetings from Belgium.
Love this survey of street photography. The categories and examples push us to think more about what we are shooting and why we push the shutter at that moment. Thank you for your keen eye and teaching methodology.
I always love watching your videos they are very inspiring and help me to see the world in an interesting way. I love street photography. I don't always capture what I want but when I do get those interesting images on the day it is a wonderful feeling thank you.
This was an excellent idea for a video, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Thank you as always for a scholarly discussion of your subject. I'm a member of Flickr, and the name Gustavo Minas rang a bell. Sure enough, he has a photostream there, with over 7,500 images to enjoy.
Thank you for another excellent video.........Yes, Unfortunately AI will interfere, but it is everyone free choice to let it rob you from the joy of taking pictures and editing them thew way YOU WANT. cheers and enjoy photography.
Interesting as usual! My beef with 21st Century pictures is just the level of Editing….. I know I will be highly criticized here, but there is something about Editing that simply breaks the charm of a picture….
@@Ampampas Agree. But its just crazy to think that a lot of people take pictures knowing that they will Edit them after. I rather train myself to perfect my ability to use the camera features (the classic 3s… shutter/aperture/iso) than actually learning how to edited a picture in lightroom or whatever tool you might be using.. But that’s just me! Do whatever makes you happy.. no rules!
Oh come on. 20th century photographers had been editing their work all the time. Look at Ansel Adams. The difference is in the 20th century the editing was done in the dark room. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)

Thanks for this insightful, informative, and enjoyable presentation of some talented, inspiring and unique street photographers. I really like how you organized the presentation around key themes. Your commentary is outstanding. @edovephotos.
Better images here, than in the 'all time' video.
So much in this is inspiring. Dashing off to look up Stuart Paton now. Thank you Rupert.

Tbh I believe that depends on how much you edit a photo

Mostly sterile. The last one has some drama.
Degradation
Your trenchant analysis is unusually deep and profound (and trenchant).
