Wow! What a phenomenal lady -- I would have loved to hear any of her Chopin performance in her prime. R.I.P. (www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/jewish-world-news/.premium-1.575973)
Yes I do, she was the piano teacher of my wife in Jerusalem, before she moved to London to be close to her son. We met her several times and she always played for us on the piano
The line is incredible. You can completely hear the music as a thought process, she really thinks in phrases and not notes, which is what makes this still so beautiful.
I show you to all my students on a daily basis. Some small 4 year olds from China and everywhere. I tell them " See what music can do for you if you live for 106 more years .....more fruits and vegetables and Music and her wonderful ability to roll with the punches." As my mother would have said .
Thanks Larry , Alice was a very special lady with an amazing live story. There are several films about her live and books too. She died in London at the age of 110
@@amosritt thank you so much. I do know the film's by the way ... I'm very touched by her my brand new Facebook is Larry Elliott Facebook . Or UA-cam Larry Elliott plays Chopin concerto #2. Again many thanks!!!
