+Daniel Salas The Pacific Northwest isn't too bad. I've been to Boise, Portland, and Seattle. But Portland and Seattle are too expensive for my tastes. Boise is like a mini Portland, but without the flith, high cost of living, bums and hobos, and druggies and junkies.

I'm from Chicago going to Houston in December, I don't know why there is so much haters you need to see what's out there people get so attached to their city they get blinded and don't want to see other beautiful cities. I've been to LA, San Diego, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and now on to Houston and excited much! anyone know where there is some good nightclub around houston or like a particular street people go to as well as restaurant ?

The reason there are not slot of pedestrians is because we drive everywhere and park in the parking garages which are directly connected to the buildings. That's why there aren't many people on the streets. But overall Houston is a great place to live.

The people are in the air- conditioned Houston Tunnel system which connects to all the bldgs its like an underground mall with many food courts. In addition to that note since Houston isnt an island with zoning I can assure you that you will find 6Million people in H-Town's (8) other sklns that compete w/ major city skylines

Chi-Town people are coming here in droves to get away from the crime and Obama liberal politics.. And guess what? Im not even from Houston.. Im from Dallas and the same thing is happening here. Chi-towners everywhere. Ask your fellow Chicagoans where they are moving. They are moving to Texas.

Wow, lots of Houston haters on here. That's good though- stay where you are and don't move here! It's such a bad place but people keep moving here from all over the country for better jobs, better standards of living. Guess we have different views on what constitutes a 'bad place'. NYC can suck my hairy balls, Chicago can kiss my obese ass, LA...well, LA is a LOT like Houston so I can't hate on 'em, Seattle blows. If you define a city ONLY by its' music scene then okay, we lose on that because we don't have a strong scene. By any other standards though, Houston isn't a bad place at all.
