True ... but that's the case with a lot of audio jargon, especially as Europe and the USA developed their industries with their own words.

so is it basically the master channel in the daw?
then it's supposed to be where all the bus/group channels are going into? and I meant bus/group channels as the multiple instruments are being sent to the bus/group channels.
I've always wondered if there were any difference between the mix-bus and a term called 2bus since there are like bus compressors and 2bus compressors etc..
