    Hierarchy is good as long as it can be held accountable. A patriarch can be held accountable far more easily than an "infallible" pope, I'd say.

      That's why Christ setup the Church counciliarly so the brothers can be held accountable. Vertical hierarchies not only make it near impossible to hold those at the top accountable but also make subversion and complete institutional capture an inevitable reality as seen by Rome in the last 150 years.

      @@slackjaw4270 I was just a joke. I was demonstrating that many things can be new or not part of the natural order and pervasive. Paint was rarely used before 1850 and now surrounds us.
