One thing that surprised me was that you watched The Office and Friends and that you shared that. Those shows are filled with promiscuity, coarse jesting, and a whole bunch of other things that run contrary to the Bible. So I guess what I am wondering and I will try to look up the answer. Are
Mennonites compartmentalized in their beliefs? What I mean by this is it ok to watch on tv and be entertained
by things that you believe are not pleasing to God and that He speaks against in the scriptures? Like committing adultery, premarital sex, and getting intoxicated on alcohol etc

Editing videos and tech is really a talent,l have very little sense for this...if you wanted to vlog the editing process,and show how to link things, figure things out on utube/online that'd be great (there are people who can use this 😖lol, me.l just don't like to figure it out at risk of messing up something l might know how fix. Some people play with it,if I think someone does a better job at something, l just let them.)
I think 6 kids average,big families l've known 10 to 14 kids.
It's great your husband likes math, that'll be so helpful homeschooling.
What are you're preferred areas /subjects you each look forward to?
What types of homeschool (and I know mostly you figure it out when you're doing it based on what works and type of kid) do you enjoy/look forward to exploring v.s. what your hubby might love? Unit studies, fav curriculum(s): academic, lesson plans in one book,paces, textbook, literature based,dvd/livestream; Nature/Charlotte Mason,game school/Montessori style... I hope this is a fun question 😃 - love to know what your fav set up might be (more storage, more study than classroom, private study/quiet learning area, maps all over the house/visuals, home base for stuff, practical skills/extra curricular,co-op... Preschool interactives, educational toys.
Are you looking forward to things like astronomy, Story in the stars,hands on bible i.e acting out stories, ancient skill craft projects - Susan Mortimer's books: Remembering God's awesome acts, chosen children,messiah in the festivals , Hebrew, (E.W. Bullinger) .
Did you go to home educators conferences? I loved seeing all the various vendors such as Learning House, curriculum. How to sessions. Some are more philosophical - why homeschool.
So basically what kind of homeschool you think you'd love,the kind he would love,and what individual things you each see yourselves doing.
My grandparents had middle names,my mom didn't because in communist Europe they weren't allowed, hence,her last name as middle n.. They picked off of name calendars (some story of a guy in the army who changed his name, and didn't respond when they called 🤷 ). By the way is your MIL 's maiden name Martin ,as well ,as her married name?
