Carrie acting as if her affair with Big wasn't that bad... Sleeping with him all over the city, lying to Aidan and her friends. And she still thinks Aidan should just forgive her and take her back, and allow her to still be close with Big. Aidan deserved so much better
also telling aidan that big was always going to be in her life as her friend and he needed to accept that. like excuse me?!! who thinks that this is a remotely okay thing to do to someone??
The thing is Aiden would be completely in the right if he had just never taken Carrie back. The fact that he even went back into the relationship without some serious ground rules just to be completely petty and pushy the whole time was frustrating. Like he was trying to strong arm her into marriage and man had like a kink for taking the wild girl and trying to domesticate her. I do ultimately consider him to be in the right in their relationship however because she did him so dirty the first time around.
I will never not laugh at John (Big is a stupid nickname) losing his shit at a woman treating him the way he treats his partners and then running off to the longsuffering Carrie just to double check that she’ll put up with him even when he’s being an entire ass.
I always wondered why Aidan got back with Carrie. 😳 And, yeah, the early 2000's we're so weird. Especially for women. Size 00 jeans, super-skinny everything, nipples everywhere. And frosted tips. Everyone had the tips of their hair frosted! Men, women, non-binary, dogs, cats... WHY?!?!?!?
When Aidan was acting petty after they got back together, I kind of empathized with Carrie tbh because he did not have to get back together with her if he still felt so angry. What could Carrie do at that point? She apologized hundreds of times, she humiliated herself, she tried to be the perfect gf, but he acted like a little b. It's like he was punishing her. I was yelling at the screen "break up with her then!!!". Can't stand people who can't be mature enough to accept an apology and move on whichever way they want, but have to guilt trip you, make you humiliate yourself and completely break you because they feel some kind of childish satisfaction of being "the victim" who has the moral high ground in a situation, and thus no matter how bad their behavior gets they are justified by "the victim" narrative. Ew.
Honestly you just have to had been hurt to understand why Aiden behaved the way he did. Healing takes time and it’s not as easy as accepting an apology and moving forward. Anger from that type of betrayal lingers for years, forgiveness is a process.
Honestly as a person who has gone through a similar thing like Aidan. I get his point of view and even hers. There was no point of him getting back together if he was gonna forgive her.
Okay I have SOOO much to say I don’t even know where to start! Right with the Samantha and Maria storyline. I have no issues with her exploring her sexuality but I hate that she’s acting all superior and judgemental of the others reactions to it….as though she herself wasn’t the same way when Carrie was dating the bi dude! That just bugged me. You can’t tell them off for being Bi-phobic without acknowledging and apologising your your own past bi-phobia!
Bunny was so infuriating but so was Trey! Carrie had no right going back to Aidan! Then she treated him terribly when they were back together! She should of cut contact with Big. But no! She acts like Aidan has no right to be mad! Aidan was so nice to Miranda. That was really sweet of him. The way Carrie treated Aidan when her computer broke….She and Big deserve each other! Aidan deserved better!
How was she judgemental to Carrie about the bi guy? She was the only one who said that labels are fading and that everyone will be all about sexual expression. She even said she would be with anyone if there was sexual attraction. Miranda and Charlotte were the ones who said he was gay and wouldn’t admit it.
Thank you for adding that Ed Harris photo bc I actually googled it after my husband asked if it were true and the photos I saw did not support the line 😭
I always felt like the ghost storyline was actually kinda brilliant. It seemed to hint more at Miranda's neuroses than anything supernatural, which was the problem for me when I was "haunted". I'm guessing that a lot of folks can relate, with the success of "Haunting of Hill House" but SATC did it first!😃 Loved the commentary!✌
Natasha and Aidan deserved better. Carrie and Big cheating when he was married was messed up. Girl, he is married! If both of you end up together, what makes you think he wouldn't cheat on you? Both of you just gave your partners trust issues instead of confessing and being honest because you are inscure and can't handle being alone.
@@BellesView Yes! Carrie needs to mind her business. Also the way they wrote Miranda pissed me off. She told Carrie in SATC that she is "living in a fantasy" when she decided to move to Paris and yet she is doing same thing.
@@FranksWhiteFerrari It’s insane. Never in a million years did I think Miranda would be delusional. Also I couldn’t chalk up Carrie’s behavior with Natasha to grief. How are you upset she blocked you on social media? You were the other woman in her first marriage! Why are you mad she lied about not being at her office? She owes you nothing! Why did you sit at the table closest to the bathroom so that Natasha couldn’t avoid you when she walked out?
There’s so much to learn from all of the characters’ mistakes. That’s one thing I loved about the show, they didn’t stuff down our throats 4 perfect women. They’re flawed, they make the mistakes we make, they reflect society at that time, and it’s a great way to practice introspection, as an individual and as a society. As much as we complain about their mistakes, can we really hate them as we are beyond reproach? It’s just very interesting to see ourselves (the human condition) in the mirror.
i so feel u on the living alone part, for me it romanticizes what living in new york would be like even tho i know very well it’s not at all the same (i’ve been plenty of times) but i feel you on the living alone and eating chinese take out, i thought it was just a me thing when it came to watching satc
Oh wow I am sooo glad I found you!!!!!! I skip episode 8 on every re watch too.. I think I've rewarched the entire series about 6 times. I started watching when I was about 16 but I remember it on TV as a kid I remember my mum having actually read the books.i love it. She can reach me but I can't reach her lmao. Deffo Chris and luke fight ahaha
Would like to see what you think about season 5 . Everytime i watch it , Carrie doesnt seem like Carrie from S1-4 . She talks too much und acting so goofy doesnt seem like her . Or am i the only who see it like that 🤔
this is a popular opinion, and one of the reasons season 5 is usually ranked the worst season. carrie seeming so off probably had to do something with the fact that SJP was pregnant.
I’m at the last two episodes of this show and knowing that Carrie and Big get back together has made me just. Not want to keep going. But I will watch the movies and Just Like That because I know Big [redacted]… yes maybe that’s excessive but I love/hate him so much he’s such an asshole but he has those very rare moments where he’s kind of okay. I’m pretty sure they cancelled AJLT but apparently Aiden was going to be in season 2 😭😭 Carrie really annoyed me with the whole big and Aiden relationships like first she’s dead set on getting married with a guy who says he doesn’t want to be married ever again but ends up marrying some 20 year old… and then Carrie finds Aiden and he’s fucking amazing but suddenly she doesn’t want to get married anymore?? Like I know people change but this show has a serious problem with what characters believe whether it’s about marriage or relationships or bisexuality or transsexuality or double standards. Okay I think I’m rambling now but as much as I love this show and how much I drool over Steve and Aiden and Carrie, it still annoys me sometimes 💀💀
In Season 4, episode 5, Samanatha makes the comment "Doesn't translate" when Maria asks what "Late run" was the guy referring to. Idk, it made me feel uncomfortable. It felt a bit racist.
5:03 had to pause and go watch ep 7 because I completely forgot what it was and I couldn’t come up with a good euphemism for that either girl 😂 Edit: ooo I got one! “A shrub that needs trimming”
Carrie acting as if her affair with Big wasn't that bad... Sleeping with him all over the city, lying to Aidan and her friends. And she still thinks Aidan should just forgive her and take her back, and allow her to still be close with Big. Aidan deserved so much better
Yes Aidan deserved better
THE AUDACITY to invite your ex with whom you repeatedly cheated on your bf to YOUR ROMANTIC VACATION WIHT YOUR BF WAS...... astonishing.
also telling aidan that big was always going to be in her life as her friend and he needed to accept that. like excuse me?!! who thinks that this is a remotely okay thing to do to someone??
I truly will never get over how Carrie is just learning Big's age in S4...like how
She liked the mystery 🙄

It was 100% an ego thing

Bunny is so over the line but I love her at the same time. “Don’t you hustle me out! This is Chanel!”
Lmao yes that was a funny moment ngl
😂 👏🏼
The fight between Aidan and big was hilarious 🤣😂
YES
No the Miranda mom episode is so good its one of my favorites. Steve and Aidan are so nice. I cry every time
SHE CAN REACH ME BUT I CAN'T EVER GET HER XD c'mon it's such a funny line
No it cracked me up too that was meant to be me joking
I've watched this show a dozen times, and this is one of a handful of lines my husband quotes regularly!
Did y'all catch that the starlet who was on the poster also played Big's ex-wife in the early episodes?
So not only did Carrie ruin the trip, she probably permanently ruined the cabin for Aiden too.
Everytime I eat chinese food at home I watch a SATC episode to keep me company😅😂 I thought I was the only one!! haha!
So glad to not be alone 🤍
Yes egg rolls in one hand with white rice in the other.
My Chinese food addiction came from Tomb Raider 2 oddly enough but I still feel this

Me too
It was really stupid of Aidan to get back with carrie never liked them together
I don't blame Aidan for how he acted, but I didn't like the slap when he slaps on her patch really hard 😞 that is triggering
Would have been a great time for her to do that squeal she started doing lol

That's what I remembered as well. Samantha was the first person I ever heard use the term pansexual. I found this comment confusing.😕
My favorite season. There’s something cozy about it.
I love your videos and editing style, it feels calm and chill ☺️
Also Big is the worst, I hate his character so much, I feel like he’s MY toxic bf atp
Thank you for adding that Ed Harris photo bc I actually googled it after my husband asked if it were true and the photos I saw did not support the line 😭
Yes Anthony is totally rude 💯
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks so

I always wanna drink wine or a Manhattan when I watch the show
I loved carrie/Aiden. But the break up was needed. I enjoyed season 4. For so many reasons.

It wasn't the greatest.
Of course, Carrie has no idea how old big is. It has nothing to do with her, so she’s utterly disinterested.
