in a panda pull, you pull yourself under the bar but don't catch it. In a normal pull, you don't pull yourself under the bar and keep your hips extended.
Question for john, is there a reason he's not trying to lift it as high as Isaiah? Obviously i understand that Isaiah has a different force/max, but it seems deliberate, he , John started the video at 135lb and that motion is mostly the same as when he got to 225? Just want to better understand that part. If the high weight is the issue, then shouldn't technique be more emphasized before weight?
If I were to do a super maximal eccentric back squat without a belt, my hips and lower back would be in shambles. What do you recommend I do to help with that pain so I can train without a lifting belt?
I dig some of these variations. Also, your boy's Trex wingspan is caaazy
Isaiah just jumped about 20 inches with 225lb on his back
That's insane!!!!!
definitely not even close to 20 inches, but still amazing
Love the content, thanks brother
this looks so effortless its crazy
the 2:07 the thumbnail 😅☝️
Is there why john’s form is so…unique?
the beard got john looking like obi wan
What is the distinction between the panda pull and a regular snatch/wide grip high pull?

how do u know that? google or you're a very educated gym bro?@fevvnrdvneonvx
@fevvnrdvneonvx got it ty I've done lots of high pulls but never tried this
Very jump specific workout 👌🏻 everyone else in the gym must be looking at them like wtf 🤣
You put 315 up 450 down but it was 405 down
That’s what I’m was saying at first I thought it was a typo but then they put 315 up and 500 down when it was 455
@@dre3607probably typo and then editing mistake looking at prior number and just adding plate weight onto the typo'd number in post production
that boy nathan george

thumbnail scaring me
Why does John squat on his toes and knees flared
can belt squat fully replace regular squat?
yes
No way, they are working different groups, unless you only want to target the legs and glutes. Its 2 different motions completely.
@@subdynoman ok
Free weight training emphasizes balance through core engagement, which isn't ideal for jump training. It's much better to focus more on the legs.
@mysteriulanguescendumabsco5766 if I want to improve vertical but also play better on the court in general is the belt squat superior?
Dunker doing panda's in dunk panda's :D
7:00 what is this form?
he has hip mobility issues and its the only way he can squat
1:01 wth is this goofy ass form
John’s the definition of “Do as I say not as I do”
I think John needs his testosterone levels checked because it looks like he just started working out.
Nice 👍 U training is technically and dynamic 🫡🫡🫡
