Ingredients for Moong dal Papad:
Urad dal flour - 1.5 cup (200 grams)
Moong dal flour - Less than ½ cup ( 50 grams)
Oil - 3 tbsp
Papad Khar- 2 tbsp ( 12 grams )
Black pepper - 1 tbsp
Salt- 1/3 tsp
Asafoetida- ½ pinch

Thank you so much for posting a how-to for homemade black pepper dal papad dough ! Finding papad that are still reasonably fresh is problematic here on the opposite side of the world (USA), and they're often somewhat overpriced. Being able to make them fresh for a tiny fraction of the cost will be a boon. I recently bought a grainmill and a food dehydrator, and I'm looking forward to giving your technique a try ... I just hope my grain mill will be able to grind the dals finely enough. Assuming not, I may have to resort to warm water and a prolonged overnight rest on the dough before kneading it ... hopefully that can compensate. If I succeed, I'll be sure to let people know.

Papad preparation is not a easy task as it is time consuming.
To soften the dough it has taken half an hour.

Dear Nisha, i am from pakistan.
and mujh ko aap ke hing ky papad ke receipe bhot bhot achi lagi. yeha pakistan mai koi bhe Hing nai use kahano mai.
aur mujh ko craze ke haad tak hing ke papad, achar and other sabzi pasand hai.
I had indian food in New york city and in Chicago also. and indian food is absolutely zabardast. Specially everything in which Hing is used.
