10:20 seeing 3 toddles running near a busy road & no adult in site, glad to see the two cars pull over to see what's going on.
Yes, 3 babies! Heartbreaking to see the danger they were in there and how long they must have been unsupervised to be there like that.
As a mother it made me fucking furious, how dare someone have so little regard for their babies lives... if I saw that I would have pulled over called the cops and told them since there is no adult in sight Im putting the kids in my car and waiting for the cops to arrive, just so those babies are out of danger.

Not sure it was the ute drivers fault totally it looked like the driver of the silver car hit the brakes late which caused him to slam into the back of it !
@@stevethepom Nope, the silver car maintained the same distance from the car in front as the others and braked accordingly. The ute driver braked late an was probably distracted. That's why it looks like he was "speeding".

It's 50-50 and I suspect an insurer will say each party pays his own when the other party has the bigger repair bill. When it's the other way around, I bet they'll change their tune!

The white ute was reversing first, the van needed to give way & wait their turn. At least the ute was aware & stopped but the van was clueless. Van at fault.
Sadly Insurance will deem it 50/50 as they were both backing out at the same time regardless of who stopped first. This happened to some teaching staff a few months back. Even though one backed way over the centre line they deemed it 50/50
Agree. Although, If you are reversing you are automatically at fault in some states. It's probably been deemed 50/50 at fault ...without the DC footage from that angle.
Agreed watched again , and the ute pulled out first, he is in the right, the Asian man is at fault.
No matter who pulled out first or stopped first, unfortunately, both at fault 50/50 due to rules surrounding any reversing vehicle. You have responsibility if you are reversing, period. Both reversing, both share responsibility sadly.

At least the last one went and asked them if they were ok. Well at least that's what It sounded like to me. "Are you guys ok" is what I am sure he was saying.
because if they do stupid stuff like that they probably don't care if they hit your car. Even in a crash where you aren't at fault insurance is a pain to deal with.
Because if you proceed when it is unsafe to do so, you can be found to bear a proportion of total liability. Right of way isn't a right. If you can take action to avoid a collision, you are legally obliged to do so. People used to be able to get away with not doing this but, now, with dashcams everywhere, if there's footage, well, then that can open up all kinds of cans of worms if the footage establishes that the driver who was technically in the right wasn't driving with due care.
Can't go wrong with fresh dash cam action from the safety of the train hehe

06:45 in Victoria, U-Turning vehicles, at traffic lights, must give way to left-turning traffic. Both vehicles signalled the turn. While it is understandable that the Ute turned wide, the baby car failed to indicate the lane change for the requisite time before each of two lane changes following the turn.
Oh, 07:15 ! LOL! I hope the other baby car driver knows where reverse gear is! Doesn't seem to know where the moment of the vehicle is, though. Pro tip. Always locate the moment of the vehicle and line something up with it so you know the exact point around which your vehicle turns. It's a big help in all kinds of situations, especially parallel parking, facing the wrong way, in the right turn lane!

What's the problem? Pedestrian did not enter the crossing correctly - and yes pedestrians always have right of way but they entered and exited the crossing at 45 degrees

It's probably a better idea to let the car go, buy which time you have actually reached the crossing and can go for your life considering there are no other cars and you are behind the one car that is there.

10:54 I've seen this one before. Imo, the purple van is at fault. The ute was already reversing when the van started to reverse. The Ute seems to see the van and stops, van continued reversing. Don't know why the ute didn't move forward though to avoid the collision with the van if they did see it continuing.
Makes one wonder why all vehicles aren't fitted with reversing cameras !
9.35 mark. What was wrong with that? No one had to stop. That's the way roundabouts are supposed to be used. It's a give way sign, not a give up sign.
When you approach a roundabout, you MUST slow down or STOP to give way to all vehicles already in the roundabout. This means giving way to vehicles already in the roundabout on your right, and vehicles that have entered the roundabout from your left or from directly opposite you.
@@Demar-yh9bl If you don't cause obstruction (i.e. cause the stand-on vehicle to slow down) before your vehicle is established on the road you are entering (including a roundabout) then you have given way. I agree that it is unnecessarily risky to zoom in when there's a vehicle already on the roundabout but, technically, the white car did give way because the DC driver didn't have to brake or even back off.
Pedestrian has right of way at the crossing- even if it seems to be going nowhere fast. Besides, in Canberra, those pedestrian walk signals don’t work if you don’t catch them before the second last cycle of when you’d expect to get the next green. Traffic light pedestrian crossings are so crappy in Canberra. You have to take two sequences to cross northbourne ave and other places the tram runs along.

Listen carefully to the audio. He is doing the right thing and checking on everybody's safety. Then he turns back to look at his work truck and experiences a moment of realization -- he ain't getting paid today.

actually, if you are indicating and their is ample room, which there was (and is often considered a grey area giving the merger right of way) then you must give way. The orange car sped up to block the merger and then hit them, the merger knows this person isn't going to stop so they take a photo. The orange car also hit the BACK of the commadore meaning he is going to be 100% at fault for that. How do so many people not know you legally have to give way to people who are indicating? it is legit the law. Try to block a cop from merging when their blinkers on and see what happens.
Thats nonsense. If you’re changing lanes you need to give way to any traffic occupying that lane regardless of you indicating or not. Having said that, orange Subaru had plenty of notification, and could have and should have let him in. Avoidable accident

@jotoks8175 wrong. An indicator does not mean right of way. When changing lanes, you must give way to existing traffic in the lane you wish to merge into.
@@christhompson8892 If the merger is going to collide or make contact with a vehicle in the lane then the lane has right of way. however in this instance the merger had ample room, which dictates if the merger has enough room to safely merge, then the merger has right of way, and any attempt to block the merger from the lane is considered hazarders driving and illegal. But in general yes you are correct. There is also the rules that states if the mergers lane is ending the merger has right of way, however the commadores lane was not ending he was just changing lanes.

@AussieTracy exactly correct! Been in similar circumstances recently and despite me stopped for 15 seconds or so and car hitting me in rear passenger door both at fault

The two Holdens at 2:40: Blue one changed lanes too slow, and the orange one deliberately sped up to cut him off. Both at fault.
The orange one was passing him, he wasn't speeding up. The blue one just didn't check the lane before changing lanes. It's not just what is beside you it's what is passing you as well
