Star Wars Cloud City Diorama Build - Bespin Escape Black Series Figures

- Hi everyone, in this video I share how I built my Empire Strikes Back Cloud City (Bespin Escape) diorama for my Star Wars The Black Series 6" figures. The diorama features a cylindrical elevator with an operable pocket door, made from a 1 gallon plastic paint can. The diorama is made mostly from foam poster board, styrofoam, white card stock paper, and some white pvc plumbing pipe. The windows and door graphics were purchased from Cardboard Galaxy on ebay. The lights are wired Ledberg spot lights from Ikea.
I had a lot of fun building this diorama, especially figuring out how to make the elevator and the curved foam archway. This was a total scratch build for me. I started with a few figures I knew I wanted to display, the Cardboard Galaxy graphics, and knowing I was going to put it into a single Ikea Kallax cube shelf.
I always loved the parts of Empire Strikes Back where princess Leia and Chewbacca were trying to escape, finally helped by Lando, while Luke and R2D2 were trying to sneak in and rescue them. The Black series figures of Chewy with 3PO on his back, and the Bespin Escape outfit Leia are excellent figures, and definitely deserved an excellent display on my shelf!
Check out some of my action figure photos I took of the diorama at the end of the video. So many display possibilities with this.
Thanks everyone for the support on the channel. If you have any questions about the diorama or how I did something, please ask away in the comments. I'm very happy to share tips and techniques that I've learned in this fun hobby of Star Wars collecting and customizing!

As w/ so many fine Women- *its about the curves being in the right place.*
The curvature & step layering really make this belivable. And Noteworthy!

Impressive diorama. 2 quick questions. I see you used krylon spray paint on the stairs. Is there a spray paint that goes on glossy with texture like that ? Or did you just paint it and then hit it with some sort of gloss spray? Also, how did you create the blast damage effects on the wounded stormtrooper? Thanks.
Thanks Mike. The Krylon spray paint I used for the steps was a "Glossy" white, so I didn't have to apply any gloss afterwards. The blast effects stormtrooper is straight from Hasbro. They sold two versions of him over the years in the Black Series line. One in a trooper 4-pack, and the other a deluxe figure with explosion effects. I can't remember which one that is in this diorama. The markings are slightly different between the two figures. Thanks for watching!
Hi everyone, I am using 3ds Max to model a Star Wars scene for the Black Series. Does anyone know the Character scale inside 3ds max for Black Series figures so I can print them out with a 3d printer?
Sorry, I wish I could help, but I don't know the answer to that...
