As race engine builders we found out years ago that the IRIDIUM was the only plug to hold up to the temperature in the combustion chamber while using Nitrous Oxide.

Other than it's hardness, the main property which makes Iridium attractive as an electrode material for spark plugs is its extremely high melting point (almost 2,500 deg C). Assuming a suitable Iridium plug is available.
Copper plug are better for performance as copper conduct electricity better than iridium. Its just that copper degrade faster , a lot faster than iridium. So, if you are willing to change your plug every 8-10k kms better go for copper plug. When you upgrade to iridium and feel more power, its just that your old plug need to be replaced so bad. Try installing new copper plug, you,ll get the same result, or maybe better. Iridium or platinum just last longer. With better ignition, you can lean fuel delivery for efficiency/emissions reasons. Another trick is to increase the spark plug gap so the plasma arc (spark) is physically larger, making for increased contact with the air/fuel charge...especially effective in high compression engines
I call BS... 1-3% power increase?? No way.. As long as everything is in spec you won't notice anything different.. Spark plugs either work or they don't. Show me the dyno chart where you see ANY increase in HP between a "new, properly gapped", standard or iridium fine wire plug. Also, there are zero sparkplugs in production, nor has there EVER BEEN with copper electrode tips.. You seriously need to go back to school before you make these bogus videos.
If you will ground the spark plug you will see a better spark when it is outside the combustion chamber. It looks like you just let the plugs in each test rest against the cylinder head which is painted or powder coated and not a good source for a ground. It is also not good for the ignition system to fire the plugs with out them being properly grounded.

I follow the car maintenance schedule for my Toyota. I even use an excellent car care program www.lonewolf-software.com/automotivewolf.htm on my computer to monitor and remind me when anything is due. The owners manual specifies to use iridium plugs replaced every 120,000 miles. I'm currently at 200,000 and still have not changed the plugs. I figure as long as I'm not seeing any decrease in performance odr gas mileage why fix it if it's not broken!
nice work bro
