With Ebuka, you know what you are getting. He's going to play out of the slot and run in routes successfully. Burden is definitely volatile. His team situation was sooooo much worse than Ebuka's. I actually like Burden's tape but there's not much of it because of the terrible scheme and QB play. The upside is much more noticeable than Ebuka's. Do you want the safe play? Go Ebuka. Want the upside play? Go Burden.
As a die hard Mizzou fan who will be taking Luther 1.1 because I have to have him, this is offensive to hear. Removing my bias, I can understand some of the criticism. Your YAC grade is way too low though. Because Luther is so insane at YAC, and Brady cooks regression as a passer and Kirby Moore being a shit OC, Luther did not show how amazing he is all around and was incredibly under utilized. He has no deep ball tape this year cause Brady couldn't throw a catchable ball to him 80% of the time. Luther is a far bigger impact player than egbuka, but egbuka is a top 40 pick. Luther with a competent OC is a WR 1 potential player.
I have to disagree, on film Luther Burden looks much more explosive with the ball in his hands as well as on his cuts. He has a very solid frame and a large catch radius. On the other hand, Egbuka is an above average athlete but no very explosive out of his breaks, which might cause some concern during man coverage in the NFL. I have Luther Burden graded out as a Early first round pick and Emeka Egbuka as an Early 2nd.
Luther is clutch. Whenever a play is needed, he gets it every time. And I was flabbergasted when he said Luther was a B in YAC. Dude is a freaking beast with the ball in his hands.
The issue with Burden is he is the classic schemed up, free release, low adot wr where the tape is fun but doesn't translate to the NFL. (Malachi Corley, Jalen Reagor) Route running, tempo, and understand how to get open in zone all much more valuable at the next level, exactly what Egbuka thrives at. (Amon-ra, JSN)
I am SO glad you are similarly underwhelmed by these two - everyone acts like these guys are absolute studs but I don’t see it on tape

I fn love Egbuka
Love the content! Keep up the great work!

Revisit this in a year when you realize you’re just overly biased
Trade back and acquire more picks, no one else is taking him #1 overall
calling egbuka top 40 as well as this much burden glaze makes ur bias evident. u don’t know ball.
Any realist won’t even consider taking him 1.01.
Will there be a Jordan James video in the future?

I'm with you. I was especially surprised to hear Burden's yac ability described only as "pretty good".

@@kylematteson3509 It's his standout trait. It's elite imo. If it's truly only a B he isn't even worthy of being a 1st round pick tbh
i've got Egbuka ahead - have some concerns about Burden; o think he is more landing spot dependent

I’d rather have Burden than Tet.
If Ben Johnson signs with the Raiders, he’s gonna draft Burden.
🔥
Burden looks like a nfl bust to me. Can’t say emeka looks great either. Take Tet or just go RB or TE
