I think the best phone under 300€ is the Mi8 SE. it has amoled and the new 710. However, it lacks some LTE bands and it is not globally available. If the chinese-english rom is a problem, you can always install the xiaomi.eu rom.
i think its much better if xiaomi put the 710 in mi 8 lite since the SE is not available globally, now the mi 8 lite is pretty much fighting with its own sister, the mi a2

EMUI isn't that bad. But its battery optimization is intense. If it were up to me, I'd take the A8. Also A8 will probably have custom ROM support if your device isn't going to be supported by Samsung, meanwhile Huawei locked boatloaders indefinitely.

Basically if it has a headphone jack, its on my list, so for me the Note 9 512gb ticks all the boxes in terms of connectivity, camera and performance. I just hope Samsung adopts a better approach to OS updates

I have the G6 which I love despite poorish battery life. But for < 400€ today I would say the best 2 value phones out there now are the Mi Mix 2S and Mi 8 by Xiaomi. My wife has the Mix 2S and it's quite sumptuously built with no notch, great camera and terrific performance. The Mi 8 has a slightly better camera (although I think it's mostly software diff, the hardware is the same) and OLED screen, but a notch. The Pocophone is good but it's around 300€, and you get plastic where the Mix 2S has a gorgeous ceramic build, it's cameras are also inferior by all accounts.
That phone is a beast... It has the best camera IMO due to its versatility... 2 day battery life... Fast charge... Sleek design... Smooth performance... Etc
I prefer the Regular Mate 20 than the Pro. That headphone jack + flat almost bezelless screen, LCD 1080p, no screen retention issue+lag due to high resolution gaming problem. 4k mah, triple versatile camera.. Perfect phone if it has ip68!
At around ued400 you can also get a Google Pixel XL or a Google Pixel for even less. Flagship level performance and build if you dont mind an oldie. And of course Android stock performance and still one more year of Android upgrades. Great video!

But it has a great AMOLED Quad HD screen, NFC, all US 4G-LTE bands, unlimited cloud storage and 24 hour online support by Google, original replacement parts and repair shops availability in the US, Snapdragon 821 chip speed comparable to a SD660 and slightly slower than SD710, 32/128Gb storage, a nice 3450mAh battery.... And yes, a fantastic camera (90 points in DXOMark). To me its worth a look side by side with the LG G6. (The 4/32 version of the XL is around 300usd)

Battery is at about 85% capacity due to degradation over two years, but I managed to get six and a half hours screen on time today, mostly Kindle, some UA-cam and a bit of PUBGM, with LTE on the whole time. Most days I don't get more than 3.5 hours, but yeah it's still a pretty great phone.

The mate 20 pro is better camera then the pixel 3. Due to the fact it can do wide angle and optical zoom. You dont know how handy these features are till you have a phone with them and the night mode is on pair with the pixel

I prefer the Regular Mate 20 than the Pro. That headphone jack + flat almost bezelless screen, LCD 1080p, no screen retention issue+lag due to high resolution gaming problem. 4k mah, triple versatile camera.. Perfect phone if it has ip68!

At around ued400 you can also get a Google Pixel XL or a Google Pixel for even less. Flagship level performance and build if you dont mind an oldie. And of course Android stock performance and still one more year of Android upgrades. Great video!

Correct. Pixel XL is not upgrading further than Android Pie. But it has a great AMOLED Quad HD screen, NFC, all US 4G-LTE bands, unlimited cloud storage and 24 hour online support by Google, original replacement parts and repair shops availability in the US, Snapdragon 821 chip speed comparable to a SD660 and slightly slower than SD710, 32/128Gb storage, a nice 3450mAh battery.... And yes, a fantastic camera (90 points in DXOMark). To me its worth a look side by side with the LG G6. (The 4/32 version of the XL is around 300usd)
@@wpymes Yeah, I know. Those are the reasons I have one right now. Battery is at about 85% capacity due to degradation over two years, but I managed to get six and a half hours screen on time today, mostly Kindle, some UA-cam and a bit of PUBGM, with LTE on the whole time. Most days I don't get more than 3.5 hours, but yeah it's still a pretty great phone.
@@wpymes I was considering trading it in for a OnePlus 6t, but I think I'll wait another year before getting a new phone and still keeping this one. I have a feeling that the unlimited cloud storage may make this phone priceless to me in the future.

I bought an OP6, with the intention of replacing said Pixel, but upon using, I realized that my Pixel gives me a far better experience.

All the phones that you mentioned are available in my country, Malaysia. Yeah, there are too much option here and its crazy. Especially the low end and midrange phones.
Well, for less than 300$ I've bought a used(like new) Essential Phone. I'm getting really tired of chinese smartphone offensive and almost 7" phablets becoming a norm.
The mate 20 pro is better camera then the pixel 3. Due to the fact it can do wide angle and optical zoom. You dont know how handy these features are till you have a phone with them and the night mode is on pair with the pixel
