- President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared the 15th of December as a celebratory public holiday, following the Springboks victory in the Rugby World Cup final. He made the announcement in an address to the nation, in which the president also reflected on other national issues.

Took every South African for fools. 15 of December most of our citizens are on HOLIDAY and so is our school children so nobody really benifited from this. Sweet talker captured by the West.
However, Accountability Now Director Advocate Paul Hoffman told Newzroom Afrika that it is a plan that will not work and that the President has “dithered” to implement lifestyle audits for years.
Ramaphosa first mentioned lifestyle audits for government officials in his reply to the State of the Nation Address debate in 2018.
