Oil and natural gas production has helped Oklahoma weather the eye of the recession's storm, adding jobs and money to the state's economy.
It's also added money to many rig hands' wallets, providing high wages for the long hours and hard work demanded on drilling rigs. But along with job security and wages sometimes comes hazardous conditions.
