Hi Julie! I’m also a Julie. ☺️. I just discovered your channel and I’m excited to watch more of your videos. I’m 61 and have always loved makeup. As I’ve gotten older it’s been interesting navigating the makeup genre and finding products that work for skin of a “certain age”.
Julie!!! You have a great name! Where are you from? I was thinking I need to play with a strong eyeliner for a video. We can figure it out together and have some laughs while I try to fix my wobbly line. 🤣
I have clothing to try on. Ahh, they've been sitting in a box because I haven't been feeling that great for the past couple of weeks. I have to try to get that done. It's honestly not an exciting haul. I bought a lot of jean shorts because I was supposed to go to Mexico. Hopefully today will work out.
Hi Julie!, looking stunning and love how you’ve made up your eyes too!. I love the Mac paint pots for pruning my eyes too. I think you’d love the kosas eyebrow pencil!, I’m enjoying it!. A stunning autumnal/fall look x❤x
@@JulieMeikle yes I saw an American influencer use it and gave it a try it’s so lovely!, it’s a small slanted pencil that turns up and doesn’t snap off x🙏♥️
😍 Thank you for being here with me Deb! I'm hoping to film my top foundation picks tomorrow morning. The Sephora sale is happening in a couple of days and I want to get it up. What's your favourite foundation?
Gorgeous look today ❤. I have very dry (but hydrated, I’m good to my skin 😉) 51-year-old skin and I never have to set that concealer. It is my current fave, as it gives me great coverage and looks smooth all day (and never looks dry) but as long as I really pat it in and give it a few minutes, it does self-set - on my skin anyway. Which is awesome, because I really don’t like powder on me ❤👍🇨🇦
Hi my friend you look so pretty . And btw you look like your in your twenties . I really love Mac . I was at the Eaton Centre yesterday and I have to be honest I’m not finding shopping fun anymore because the quality isn’t as good and I hate all the loose clothes. I do like Zara mango and occasionally I go to the bay very rare because it changed. Your makeup is beautiful very natural! Enjoy the beautiful weather I’m going for a long walk ❤
Thank you! You're right, the quality isn't good. I have a whole cart full at Banana Republic because I'm determined to buy some nice pieces but then I read the reviews on all the cashmere sweaters and I read that they easily pill. Not because of the brand but it's the nature of the fabric. It's so expensive to pay for a top that has the potential to be ruined so quickly. Knowing me, I'll spill something on it as soon as I get it home. I'm surprised you can't find nicer items in Toronto. I've never spent a lot of time there.
Yay! Thank you so much Anne! This makes me so happy. I'm trying hard to build up my channel. I'm a little scattered but I feel like each video gets a little better each time.
Very beautiful makeup. I bought the new Mac radiance and am having trouble getting it to blend out good. I’m going to try your method and hope mine will blend as well as yours did. Thank you so much!❤
I totally see why it's happening. I found it almost looked curdled a little before I got it blended. Does that makes sense? Such a funny way to describe a foundation. But when it blends it stays put and looks great. Do you normally use a brush, Teresa? If so, be sure to use a stiffer, more dense brush and push it in. Brushing it from side to side doesn't seem to work with this one.
@@JulieMeikle yes thank you again. I’ll try that method tomorrow morning when I do my makeup. I truly appreciate all you do. It’s so nice to have someone who explains and demonstrates in such detail!
I think the colors are so beautiful on you, you did a great job. Looking forward to see you 2 in a livestream again 👍😊 I have subscribed to her too 😊👍 Big hugs from Denmark 💝🌹🥰
I'm a little nervous for tomorrow. Have you heard of imposter syndrome? I have so much anxiety when it comes to certain topics. I don't have a good memory when it comes to ingredients and chemistry. The sulfate free shampoo and "clean" marketing is something I don't ....how should I say this? I don't stress too much about it. I don't want to say the wrong thing and upset anyone. I'm excited to hear Jodi's hair routine. What products do you use, Stine?

We don't have the same options for clothes on our Canadian amazon in my opinion. Everytime I try, I'm not thrilled with the quality. I had heard great things about White House Black Market though.
Hi MJ, It's a StansOut Sponge. I really like it. Here's a link for Amazon, both Canada and the U.S. You're suppose to wet it the first five times you use it and after that it can be used wet or dry. CAD - amzn.to/3RLNCoD U.S. - amzn.to/41sMrgI I just purchased a few other brands to try. I'll hopefully have a chance to try them out soon. My family is starting to come in for the holidays and I want to focus on visiting with them. I love when I have a full house.
Hi Julie ! You look so fabulous !🤩 I going to try to do it with my Natasha Denona Bronze palette what do you think ? can you make us a video on your 5 best foundations that would be really helpful and so kind . à très bientôt Julie !
You read my mind, Cathy! I actually just posted a collection in my LTK today of my favourite foundations but I have to film it. I'm hoping to film it today or tomorrow. The Sephora sale is starting soon so I have to get something ready quick.
Kenna! I could have cried. I filmed a whole smudgy eye look a couple of days ago and didn't realize my camera turned off. NOOOO. I'll do it again. It's a fast technique. Darn!
I have been using the Mac paint pot as an eye primer but it feels dry so I got the Milani primer but it doesn’t cover my eye lid discoloration. Any suggestions?
That happened with my sister-in-law. I used Painterly on her and it dragged. I switched to Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick. It went on really smooth and covered her discoloration. Shore may be a good one for you. But you know, you can use your concealer. Which concealer do you use?
Oh, this is a great video idea. Both good for different reasons. BK is synthetic and Rēphr is natural hairs made in Japan. Brushes made in Japan are the softest and they're the best quality. A makeup artist dream. I bought my own brushes from Rẽphr long ago and loved them, then Tom reached out to me to say thank you because he noticed I was showing them in my videos. SO NICE! This is taken from a letter I received from Tom at Rẽphr. "The goal of the brand since the beginning has always been making high quality products more accessible to everyday consumers. That was the reason we started with Japanese handcrafted brushes, because we do believe they make the best brushes in the world with 200 years of history and experience. Traditionally, saibikoho brushes are extremely rare and expensive. The starting price for a saibikoho cheek brush usually starts around $250 and goes up to $500 or more. But as a brand, that is not something we aspire to do. We wanted to create an amazingly luxurious cheek brush, but also accessible to everyday customers. We wanted to bring this type of unique experience to as many people as possible." After talking directly to the brand, I love them even more. My company name is "Access Cosmetics". I came up with that years ago and have it registered. The idea being, that I want everyone to have access to makeup and knowledge. 🤗 So I feel Tom and I are the same. 😃 Rẽphr brushes are like a luxe cashmere touch on my face. BK Beauty is also an amazing brand. I love Lisa J and her team. The brushes are vegan (synthetic) and very well made. I've used & washed them so many times and they still look as brand new. You have the best brush, Lisa. The 101 is my favourite but I have many more. That's an easy video I can work on when I'm recovering from my surgery. Boy, I'm chatty this morning. 🤣 NOOOO, MEEEE?!!! 😂
@@JulieMeikle oh great! I can’t wait for the video! Looks like I may have to give those brushes a try. I’m all for good people and good quality items. 🤗 For our hair session it seems it’ll have to wait until you’re recovered. Surgery isn’t fun but I’m sure you’re excited for the end result!
I have used Mac painterly for my eye shadow base for more than 10 years, it's the best
Right!? If it's not broke, don't fix it! 🤗

Yes… my word recall is gone 😮
I know they keep saying Omega 3 is good for that but🤮. The after taste of that stuff is so gross.
I watched another influencer and they said that Mac foundation needs the warmth of your fingers to work . Worth a try.😊
Oh that's a great idea. Honestly technique of pushing it into the skin is what does it. Fingers or sponge. I'll try my fingers for sure. Thank you!🤗
