Hey guys, I like your gear, the Corona factory and your staff there. I hope you recognized all my money that reached you over the years 👋 Please ship that 2021 Squier Jaguar I ordered months ago. 🙈 Greetings
Fender, I understand you're a business first, but please use some emotional factor and give us left handed variations of these guitars. The American Professional II series was a great start, but we want these too!
Now that Fender has entered the P-90 market full force, you guys need to do a head-to-head shoutout Noventa Tele vs. Les Paul Junior and Noventa Strat vs. Les Paul Special
From the videos I've watched so far, I much prefer the sound of Fender's P90s than the ones on Les Paul & LP Special. Best I've heard so far was on a Tele Thinline. I've ordered the Jazzmaster with 3 P90s, kind of pricy for a MIM but I love the diversity of P90s. Just inch the dial & a killer new tone shows up.
The strat and the jazzmaster both sound really great and quite different to anything I've heard. And I love that some rando decided to put two pickups in the strat and three in the jazzmaster just for some extra WTF-factor.
I'm not feeling the best, but several parts of this video made me laugh out loud.... And the playing was awesome, the first riff that Lee comes in with was just 'spot-on'.... Brilliant.
Maybe Fender are noticing healthy sales of Reverend triple p90 guitars...you get a korina body, roasted maple neck and a bass contour for less money from them though
Outro jam was amazing! Danish Pete is always on fire, but THE CAPTAIN! Wow! Your playing has become very tasteful and inspiring. Hats off, mate! Ted Condo, Ewing, NJ, USA
I love P90s - on my Gibsons. The interesting thing about these guitars is they still have that Fenderish sound to them. Especially the Tele and the Strat. Why is this, I wonder? And I'm thinking that much of the Fenderishness is because of its scale. 25.5" versus Gibson's 24.75". Bolt on neck vs set neck? Maybe that's some of it as well.
I know what you mean wrto Gibson P90s . Having said that I replaced the bridge P90 on my Les Paul Double Cut with a DiMarzio P90. And I much preferred the sound of these to stock Fender PUs - particularly for high gain stuff which is what they seemed to major on here.
Love the sound of that strat. Went to order one and realized, there isn’t an exterior neck adjustment. Meaning probably like vintage fenders, you have to loosen the 4 screws on the back neck plate, lift the neck up to expose the screw under the neck, adjust it, then put it all back together.
Vintage truss rod adjustment. It’s not something you should need to do on a regular basis; therefore, not a major issue. And you don’t have to remove the neck to make the adjustment - as you said, you just need to lift it. I have the Strat Noventa in transparent crimson red. The entire guitar resonates like a living, breathing beast! 🎸🔥❤️
Is this the first time ever that Fender have made maple cap necks with small headstocks? It's at least incredibly rare and makes these guitars so much more desirable. Combined with the hardtail bridge makes this one of the best Stratocaster models Fender has released in many many years.
Good show, guys! You're getting Tomo Fujita in the studio? You'll be in for a real treat... I've known Tomo since the late nineties (when I was more active) he is a generous and modest man. Tell him Pete "trisonic" said hello. I haven't seen him for a while due to my poor health (I'm getting on a bit). Best, Pete.
A single-pickup p90 strat with the pickup placed between bridge and middle position. Many single-pickup guitars have their pickup very close to the bridge, some close to the neck, but very few move it towards the middle position. I like my strat bridge pickups nudged slightly towards the middle position, moved about 1 inch closer to the neck than usual. With 3 single coils, it would be between the middle and bridge. I also like that pickup to be reversed angled, not straight aligned. That's the secret sauce to punchy-chunky rhythms and buttery leads. Need a good swimming pool routed body, or one that's routed for larger pickups like p90s or jazzmasters/etc.
From Leo: Fender did a good thing here, great variation of the tried a true guitar line. I put a pair of P90's in a Strat. I like it even more than I thought I would. Good review.
Owned my red Noventa strat for 4-5 months now. Very happy with it. Changed the pups to Amber P90 and pots to VIPpots 550k. It’s very light and easy to play, and a very nice backup to my Ultra HSS. I can recommend it (if I had bought the blue or green, I would change the colour of the plastic thought).
Gotta love the p90s! I had not had a p90 guitar in decades but recently acquired a LP w/p90s only to discover that I was "Born on the bayou" and that Jesus has some how left Chicago within minutes of pluggin it in. The tones just jumped out...no pedals. Just p90 and Fender Tweed n go!!!
I know Simon Townshend, Pete's brother had a twin P90-equipped Strat when he played for us 84 fans at the Basement Jam in Pete's Oceanic Studios. Now if they did one in Torino Red, white guard and maple neck....that would be great!
I like the single p90 telecasters but feel like they should be a little cheaper given they're MIM. You could spend a couple hundred more and get a USA Gibson with a single p90.
@@seanmckinney888 It’s definitely not thin. It’s a 60s C and absolutely beautiful with the satin finish all over and glued on fingerboard. It’s the perfect next in my mind.
That blue strat is doing me in. It's such a great colour. Since there's no lefty, it's a good thing I'm building my own guitar with that kind of colour. XD
I am just a noob acoustic guitar player but I'm gaining both info and interest in electric guitars watching your videos guys 🤘. I want more! And I want a Telecaster....don't tell my wife 🤣
I think p90 pickups are fantastic and so diverse, they unfairly get overlooked. I wish Fender had given us a couple of left handed models, that fiesta red tele is gorgeous. Shame we've been ignored again.
You'd think with modern CNC technology and the ability to mirror a program instantly, the lack of lefty guitars was a thing of the past.....but here we are in 2022 and still a distinct lack of choice from all brands. Shameful, particularly as there is an estimated 1 billion lefty's on the planet!!
After seeing this video through, a couple of thoughts: 1: I want a poo brown Jaaaag 2: You guys need to get beers for lunch more often. Your humor was on fire today 🍻
Good point about the pick-up colour. Would have been nicer looking, for me, if they were made same colour as the body - telecaster, same colour as pickguard for the rest.
Red Tele, and blue Strat look cool and sound amazing, but these prices got out of hand!!! What's going on there, over at Fender HQ??? 1000€ for a MIM guitar? I can find great new American Fenders for less than 900€!!! WTHeck ???
With reference to the top load or string thru' debate............for me the main difference is that the top loaders reach pitch at a lower tension because the string length is shorter, which I prefer BTW.....
Greetings from Spain! We're in the Year of the Ox in the Chinese calendar. I will not dignify your Spanish?!?!? with a comment. That red Telly got my GAS going...
Just last night, I was thinking that fender missed out on making teles with P90s. I have a G&L ASAT with P90s, and it has the most wonderful tone, especially the neck pup.
My j mascis jazzmaster that also comes with P90s. I love the sound. The rhythm circuit is actually useful with p90s. I get a very les paul jr type tone.
The strat sounds fantastic. I am sure I could get a jazz sound out of that. I do wish Fender would get the neck pickup closer to the very edge of the neck. It’s an awesome sound.
Some serious playing here - sounding awesome 🤟

P90 shootout with Yamaha Revstar 502 as well :).

The controls plate on the Tele is from the original P. Bass also known as a Tele bass.
Lee, while "noventa" is Spanish for "ninety", "no venta" would be "no sale"! 😱Hope it's not a bad omen for you! ;)
Noventa is also the name of several municipalities in Veneto, Italy, so it could be a guitar full of pasta and ragù
Noventa. Ciento. Perfecto. Adelante.
Would be nice for us if buy one at reduced price
Vent .. to let out your anger.
Pete is an absolute legend, SKILLZ
Great-looking guitars. P-90s are such rocking pickups. Glad to see them featured in these new guitars. And your intro was awesome, as usual.
I'm a sucker for walnut finishes. Always have been, always will be.
Love natural finishes. Makes it feel like I got fancy furniture around the house
Absolutely! Now if that one only had a maple fretboard
Go one step beyond! with a Burr walnut. Ooooh weee!
Don't get into shotguns or you'll be bankrupt!

Ooooh the single P90 Tele! 😍

Agreed
More like Yamaha Revstar 502 sales :).
Maybe also the popularity of Novo Guitars, inspired some aspects of this NOVenta line.
I asked the local Pizza Shop owner why his place was so smokey ? He replied in earnest ,"No Venta"
Uh... hilarious
When Pete says “I absolve this guitar”, me on the way to guitar shop to buy another guitar.
Outro jam was amazing! Danish Pete is always on fire, but THE CAPTAIN! Wow! Your playing has become very tasteful and inspiring. Hats off, mate! Ted Condo, Ewing, NJ, USA
Those are some cool guitars and some mad playing from Pete
Thanks for the comment and tuning in!
@@andertons hey...what happened to Jams of Anderton vol 5?...cant find it...
That Jazzmaster sounds like its sad and depressed, but in a beautiful way, like Pete mentioned, I find it fascinating.
Oh gawd I love the sound of the two P90s on a stratocaster !!
Question for The Captain: does the price tag still attached to the head stock, increase sustain?
Yes. Intro jam one of the best

😂 yes
Already excited for Tomo on here. Captain meets Tomo Fujita!! That's the closest to a Captain meets John Mayer you'll ever get haha
I've had the Fiesta Red Noventa Tele for a week now and I have not picked up any of my other guitars since.
Pete - “let’s not have a mass debate..”... it’s Carry On Anderton’s.....🤣🤣
The Captain's reaction was priceless! :D :D :D
I enjoyed the 3 way is easier to handle than a 5 way 😂
Pete's amazing - have you tried similar in Danish? Yep, I've been watching "The Beach Hotel"......
Love watching you guys you make me smile. Great move hosting with the Dane

After 70 years people are still "surprised" that P90s can sound good 🥳
I bought the tele because of you folks
You left me on the Debris... I always loved that song.
Daphne Blue and Surf Green, absolutely gorgeous guitar finishes!

WOW a hardtail strat! I've always wanted a string though strat! Any pickup combination I don't care.
That walnut guitar brings the best of the Captain’s superb chops!
I ordered the red Noventa-strat a few days ago :) I had a GAS for a red Strat-o-sonic, and then Fender launched a strat with P90. Perrrfect!
That one pickup tele is : WOW!

The noventa tele reminds me of the first telecaster prototype leo designed
i havnt Gassed for a guitar in 8 months, then the JOsh Smith Sig and now these! i actually love every single one and i am not a Fender dude at all!
I love hearing you guys Jam
The Jazzmaster has been calling my name ever since they were announced
Me too. Problem is I already have a P90 Les Paul. I hope they don't sell out like the baritone Squires so I can AB both and decide
Maybe it's not new, but I really appreciate the db meter. Even when it's not an amp video, it's really nice to have that perspective.

@Andertons Music Co Your Spanish is fine, here's a quick reference: 10 = Diez, 20 = Veinte, 30 = Treinta, 40 = Cuarenta, 50 = Cincuenta, 60 = Sesenta, 70 = Setenta, 80 = Ochenta, 90 = Noventa, 100 = Cien...
That tele is really cool. I like the les paul junior i have but the gibson scale length feels not as good as the fender scale to me
The P90 in neck position on the hardtail Strat has a fantastic jazz tone.
I didn't watch a andertons video for a long time Lee's significantly improved as a guitar player.

The Yamaha Revstars started the rebirth :). P90s rule, can't go wrong with some grit.
