Oh what a fab idea Once I am back up and running from this virus I am going to make some of these buttons Thank You Cheryl for the inspiration.I am spending my recouperation day in bed watching bucketloads of your videos .Cannot think of a nicer way to while away the hours .I am going to have So much crafting fun once I am better .Thank You .Love from Nikki xxx
You are such a gem. Its wonderful to see all the junky things that surround us with new eyes and see the endless creative possibilities. these buttons are so adorable... Much to my family's horror (I'm sure they think I'm becoming a crafty hoarder) in collecting the cereal boxes, etc to make journals - I never thought of the tissue box. Thanks for sharing these tips. Take care have a fabulous, creative day 😀
Darlene C You're very welcome Darlene. Don't worry Darlene, the family will come around, and probably start asking you if such and such is something you want to keep for your crafting lol
What a genius idea! I too, reuse common household "trash", mostly boxes to make my album covers. Never thought to use scraps for this though! Off to make me some buttons :) Thanks for sharing your ideas and talents.
This is terrific!! I use some instruments I used to work with in the ORs (I guess you say "theatre") I worked in years ago (hemostats, needle holders, forceps, iris scissors, etc.), and the idea of the scissors you have were first developed for eye surgery. Now, of course, they have microsurgery, and things keep getting smaller and finer--I'm so happy not to know anything about it!! They're called precision scissors on Amazon, where I just found them for around $3. They're in the category of arts and sewing etc. I'm very happy because I thought they would be too expensive and I never looked for them. Carry on, Cheryl!!!! Dolores
bought the MS button punch - Wish I would have waited because love your 2 hole buttons using things I already have. will be punching out circles tonight! thank you for sharing - can't wait for more tips, tricks & tools.
I watched episode 5...and had to run back and find the others..... YES.. so glad to see you use a TUB for your embossing powder... I realllllly don't know why others don't do that... Having to catch it on paper and funnel it back into the jar...just makes no sense.. great video.. TFS.. hugs cj
Love your tutorials!!! And the way you use such technical terms-"squish"....you explain things in a way we can all understand them 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗. Will be watching more of them. Thanks again!
I really enjoyed the video. It is nice to see how things start out and I now understand where a lot of your embellishments come from. Good work. Thanks.
I'm just seeing this now (YR L8r) and it is fabulous!!! You are so precise in describing all the smallest details. You're very clever. I absolutely love all your buttons!!! Can't wait to see another one of your videos!
Just "discovered" you by accident last night. I think I have watched almost all of ypur videos ALL day, and loved and learned from them all! Needless to say you are my new favorite. Love, love, love this button tutorial. All the money I've spent on buttons when I could have made tham. Will only be making them now Thanks and keep those videos coming! Oh, and you do have a soothing voice and ver nice, pleasant way about you. Love you say hi to your mom too.
Great video, it’s the little things like this people don’t show because they think everyone already knows. It’s an especially special series for me as you started it what was my lovely Dads birthday, thank you Huggles xxxAnnxxx
Hi I'm so happy i found you! i'm very new to this journal making and i don't seem to have all the equipment i need. even though I've spent a fortune on 'Stuff' as my husband calls it! i'm itching to create something and i have gained so much inspiration and information through watching your channel. I'm completely hooked....
+Kandy Booker Glad I could be of help. My best advise is to really weigh the cost. Have at least 3 things you can use an item in, or ideas on how to use it. There are so many things I wish I had never bought, because I never ended up using them.
Fantastic idea, Cheryl! Slapping my head wondering why I didn't think of it myself. =D I love what you said about being creative even when you don't feel 'crafty', and these are definitely a great project for those times.
+Nutty's News Thanks so much for stopping by. Could I get your first name....it goes against the grain to call someone nutty lol, other than myself of course :)
LOL I'm so used to people using Nutty, that I don't even think of it. My name is Elizabeth, and the story behind Nutty is on my blog, if you are interested. =D
Great video Cheryl! I can use this for any chipboard shapes or art tiles also I think. Glossy accents is fine but dimples and the dry time is agony! You once again have inspired me to try it out. Thanks again!

Love it! I just use regular twizzers now but they get hot and I have used a wood clothes pin as well. And love the button idea! Do you use regular clear embossing powder or UTEE? And I would love to see the staining paper techniques for your junk journal...like the Lindy's stamp gang sprays or dylusions or other sprays.
I am a newbie. I have just subscribed to your videos. You are great. I watch you and I see myself. I feel just the way you do about some things. I don't care if I get dirty and I do seem to want things right now. The faster the better. I love your buttons. Do you do inchies also? I'm surfing UA-cam and just happen to find you.
