With both cars Sharing the same Engine the mighty 4.4L V8 with Twin Turbo, The M5 CP edges the M850i with 90 BHP but both have the same torque!

I drove both cars, 850 is more beautiful, but M5 is a “better” car. A real M car. I may change my mind whenever I get a chance to drive m8.

With the Emissions and new rules! It is killing the cars engine sizes/Sound and it seems with every new models cars are keep getting quieter.

As a current M550i owner what do y’all think the next move should be? 2020 M5 comp? Or the 2020 M850i?
They are totally different cars. The M5 is a better all round-a that can fit 4 people easily and go do your grocery shopping. The M850 is very long and the back seats are ok. Both cars drives excellent I found the 8 series are better built but the M5 is way faster
