Obviously almost every single Drake fan probably said oh I've been into him since he was Jimmy on Degrassi! You see I actually have been all about Aubrey since before he was Drake. Recently I commented on one of the videos uploaded to UA-cam for Young Money song Every Girl ( there is more than one copy uploaded to UA-cam.. so I don't remember which one.) Anyway.. I will share my story now on this video. As I mentioned above I was all about Drake when he was just Aubrey on Degrassi the Next Generation. One day I'm sitting in my bedroom with a friend of mine and the video for every girl came on ( I think it came on TV or I may have seen it on UA-cam and decided to click on it.) The moment I see Drake on the screen I'm literally like oh my God that's Jimmy! From Degrassi the Next Generation! Then I start thinking maybe my mind is Playing Tricks on Me and go back and forth a couple of times as to whether or not it really is Jimmy. Then came the part where the word Jimmy pops up in bubble letters with an arrow pointing towards Drake. Immediately I'm Legit freaking out saying oh my God I was right it's him it's him! Pretty sure my friend thought I was insane.. I was just unbelievably excited! To this day I would drop everything and marry that man! Hahaha! Grateful that I got to see him in concert twice even though for personal reasons my income is limited. So grateful!! Hopefully one day I will get lucky enough to meet the man I look up to so much! The closest I have ever gotten is when I saw him at the Prudential Center in Newark New Jersey. It was would you like a tour? With Drake Miguel and Future. Obviously my main reason for going was Drake. Near the end of the concert Drake stepped onto a round platform that took him to all parts of the audience.. even the up high seats. The fact that I have a physical disability limits my seating choices at concerts. When he stepped onto the platform I honestly didn't think there was any way he was going to notice me. Well I was very wrong. He said I see you up there in the red shirt with your hands in the air don't think I don't see you! I thought I was going to die of happiness!! All those people in the stadium and he recognized me! In case you're wondering how I know specifically that it was me.. the section that I was seated in was very small and I was definitely the only one wearing a red shirt and waving my hands in the air in my small section.. remember as I said the platform was designed for Drake to go Section by section talking to his fans. Man my life was made that night! You couldn't tell me nothing!! Funny side note: the two tickets I purchased were meant for me and my best friend at the time. Unfortunately he had to work and it was so last minute I had a hard time finding someone to go with me. My 50 year old uncle who has absolutely no knowledge of Drake ended up being a good sport and going with me.. I really didn't want the ticket to be wasted. My uncle said it wasn't a bad concert it was better than he had pictured it was going to be. Hahaha
