No. I don't need to give it a try. Maple syrup does not belong in caramelized onions. If you cook them correctly, they should be sweet enough. A lot of people put maple syrup in vegan cheese too, which is disgusting. I like maple syrup, just not in savory applications.

Remember this is the way I do it, you can do your recipe the way you like. I love the maple syrup in my onions for burgers only. Have a great day
