Hi Nick - just a quick note to update your road-racing rule information: You need to achieve overlap on the leading car _before_ they begin their turn into the corner in order to be entitled to space. At 19:07, the 32 has begun their turn into the corner, while you are still several car-lengths behind. Therefore, the 32 has the right to take the corner unimpeded, and without needing to accomodate your car. I hope this information proves useful in future races

I've been to enough NASCAR races to know if they are a lap down, they will race hard to get that lap back. They don't bow to cars on the lead lap.
It's all situational. Sometimes you should, sometimes you shouldn't. But that's just my opinion. Everyone else has their own code on that.
