This song was a favorite of my Nana’s, who raised me, she passed away this October. This was the last song she sung with us in the hospital, and I like to think she saw us as her garden.
It will move me for the rest of my life.

      Exactly.
And they so do now too.
      Forever so. ❤️💙❤️
Found this very same video on UA-cam in the spring of 2018 and became eternally enchanted and bewitched and inspired, right then.
Still feel that exact very same way.
This performance of this song never fails to inspire. 🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵
"In my garden I'm as free as that feathered thief up there."
      So exactly true.
      Someone bless. ☺️
      Their spell lasts forever. ❤️💙❤️

My most treasured memory is meeting Mary & Noel (Paul) but unfortunately not Peter. Through the 1960s & 70s, I tried to sound like Peter Yarrow. However, after half a century we have both grown old and unfortunately Peter now sounds like me. During a concert at Festival Hall in Melbourne in about 1983, Paul broke a string and left the stage leaving Peter & Mary to improvise until he came back. Electronic tuners hadn't been invented so it took ages for Peter & Paul to get tuned up. The audience cracked up when Mary went to the microphone & said "NEXT TIME I WILL BRING A HARP & HAVE HALF AN HOUR OF MY OWN TUNING".

This song has been forgotten. It is from my generation. Today, 2022, young people don't even know it exists. I want to say this today. Our farmers feed us. They work hard so we can feed our families and ourselves. I am a person from the 60s.
Why do we allow this current administration to attack the one thing that we rely upon...food, sustenance. These folks are the backbone of America. God bless them. Peter Paul and Mary did this song right. Arlol Guthrie also. Pete Seeger wrote it back in the 30s. So, leave the people of agriculture alone. Help them feed our country. This current administration dosent care about a damn thing. A note from the Vietnam generation. We also served when we had our job to do. Thank you.
