Rancho Seco North Wind

I watch for north wind days which is when Seco works best. The nearest town is Herald, for a forecast. WindAlert does a pretty good forecast for Seco. April-October the park is open until 6 pm which is not a major issue as north winds generally die by 5 pm. Nov-March until only 3 pm, but then not many north wind days Nov-Feb. March is the only issue where there can be good north winds well past 3 pm. On the plus side it is grass rigging & you step from grass to water. No sand or mud & the restrooms have hot water 🤙
