Thanks man! I took the NCLEX-RN on July 3rd and I took into consideration your advice when I was in doubt. My test shut off at 75 and thank God I passed.
How I passed in 75 questions first try: team up with a classmate, one person buy the UWorld test bank, one person buy Kaplan. Exchange passwords and use both programs equally. Do 50-75 questions per day, and read ALL rationales including the ones you got right. Do this for a month before your test and once you consistently get in the 60%+ on your practice quizzes you are ready!!
Determining which answer choice is "safest" includes a variety of criteria that must be considered before one can simply say "that's safe." I'd love to see you use more specific examples of what determines "safe". A LOT of students and new grads struggle with this concept. Additionally, considering the ABC's - there must be evidence of "danger". Too many times test-takers choose the "breathing problem" - although it may be expected and directly related to a chronic condition. Knowing how to determine HOW the question is challenging you is extremely helpful when using concepts, rules, and guidelines to make decisions. All of these are just some deeper and more complex considerations when developing strategies for NCLEX success. Thanks for the work you're doing Nursejanx.
You made me calmer about taking the nclex. This is my second time taking it and I’ll be taking it again in two weeks and these tips are great, so thank you! Praying that I pass this second time around.

Passing the NCLEX test is when you study hard,if you can't or you don't have time for your studies then I will advise you get yourself help like Mrs Betty
As of 7/24/19 the pvt works! I took my test on the 22nd at 8am. The test shut me off at 75 questions. I didn't do the pvt after I was too scared. The next day like 15 hrs later I did the pvt I got the good pop up. Now July 24th I got my quick results and it says I passed. Hallelujah
With respect to you, I studied questions all the way up toe the day of the test. Not because I was anxious about not knowing enough, I was confident, but I did it so that it wouldn't freak me out to get these questions the day of the test. I suffered from test anxiety all throughout nursing school and they talked up the NCLEX as this big bad wolf of a test all throughout nursing school. I wanted to just get so used to answering questions that they don't make me anxious anymore. It worked! 75 questions later, I was cool as a cucumber and passed my NCLEX. What I am trying to say is there will always be an element of "to each their own." If you are anxious about the kinds of questions that can be on the test, just try to study in a comfortable, relaxed environment (for me, it was starbucks with my brother in law who was also in the program). I agree that you know your stuff to the point that you CAN take 2 days off before the test and for a lot of people that would be a great idea, but if you are nervous about the kinds of questions, just familiarize yourself in a calm environment a little bit each day and it will be a lot more like second nature. :)

We recommend doing as many questions as possible before testing! Literally answer questions until you cant take it anymore!
Oh ok! Because i failed my nclex yesterday and Alaska BON is asking me to do ncsbn extended learning review. They have a lot of q and a.
But i will answer questions from q and a textbooks, lacharity and NCLEX RN Q AND A REVIEW.
Keep doing practice questions! Don't be discouraged from failing it happens, and I have worked with some of the very best and smartest nurses that have failed the NCLEX on their first try ,but passed it the second time around! You got this!
@nursejanx thanks for the encouragement!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Just wanted you guys to know that NCLEX gives partial credit now, but we should continue to strive to do our best.❤️
