    Update!! I have finally received an answer from Gamenut, and they found it sad i had a bad experience, and said they would send the money back (wich they did quick). More important then that, is them saying they will change the Mystery Pack setup in future MagicCon's. So i hope from now on they either are more clear on what you can expect, or at least give some value in "non hit packs".

    I bought three red ones. It was disgusting! Even had a basic land in one. I get it can’t be much value, but three times the same m21 rare??? Absolutely disgusted by this company and their inability to process card payments

      So also with the red packs. They were 10 euro and its allready unforgiveable. Also had a token with a sticker on it? They dont react to nothing, but i did file a complaint with the dutch organisation about them and this practice. Hope at leadt they react and at least did something

    I mean you paid for it. What do you expect on repacks. Like I get being angry, but you paid for it.

      Yes and that will never happen again, my trust in vendors has just plummeted to a all time low. I dont mind repacks, but be honest about the chances and how those packs are made. There is nothing bad about asking 50 for a chance to win a high value card, but if you make them without that high vakue card, at least make sure there are still some decent cards in there iso 2 cent cards. And make sure that the cards are new and not all scuffed up.

    Maybe I’m just not understanding completely.. that’s part of gambling. Yea it sucks. Unless they promised a certain value of cards inside that’s how it is. Sorry for your lose tho

      Again i can understand if you sell a pack for 10 euro, and on purpose put cent cards and shit basic lands and tokens in there with a chance of winning a hig value card. I truly do. But common 50 euro pack, putting 4 cards of 2 cent in there one useless token and 1 rare of 12 cents. That is just bad, and feels like robbing your customers on purpose. Besides that who says someone actually gets a high value card? I have had private messages of people getting saying the same. I just dont get why you would even make a pack like that and dare to sell it for those prices. I just dont.

      When you open magic cards, for the most part, you can expect a certain return value on the cards you're getting. It's a pretty commonly understood thing, if you buy a booster pack for 12$ you will get something like 5-6 dollars return on average with the chance of getting more value in cards than you paid real money for. If wizards of the coast sells you a booster pack of random cards for 50$ you can expect 30-35$ or more in card value, which is a dogshit pack. You could buy the singles for 15$ cheaper but you gambled to try and get more than 50$ so it's lost. Gamenut takes full advantage of this, they could make hella profit without completely ripping people off by putting 20, 30, 40$ worth of cards in the 50 pack. It would even incentivize buying more than 1. Instead they are intentionally full of the cheapest possible cards for maximum profit. People already complain about the value received from official packs not being close enough to the actual price of the cards, this is a joke. While it isn't illegal as far as I can tell, its terrible practice and when it's the worst possible deal you can get, you can understand why Magic players would not rock with that or would not want Gamenut to have any kind of future in the space. It also stands to reason that anybody cutting that kind of profit margin on magic cards never had a black lotus or any other power 9 to give out in the first place. Part of gambling is losing, but part of gambling on magic is still having some value in cardboard when you lose. At best, it is just straight up gambling where when you lose your investment is gone and you're left with essentially nothing. At worst, there never was any valuable cards and it was just a public scamming station. If your prices and returns are way worse than the official company making the cards (who magic players already bitch about) then why would any of us fuck with GameNut after hearing about this

    I’ve bought collectors boosters for around that and got shit. Opening packs is legit gambling. If you thought about it for a moment, why would they be doing this? To lose money? No it’s an easy way to repackage bulk and sell it as a gambling service. I hope you never go to a casino as you will be in for a rude awakening my guy.

    • @All_that_is_Magic
      @All_that_is_Magic  3 місяці тому

      When i go to a casino i know that, i have no illusions about that. What i didnt expect was that kind of hustle here legit or not. Now i feel that these kind of "gambles" should make it clear that packs are made with shit cards. For me there is still a difference between a fixed algorithms saying when you can win, then trusting a human to actually make packs with those kind of cards. Feels more like there was no highvalue card ti begin with and everyone is fracked on purpose.
