This past weekend the JConcepts Team traveled to S&B Raceway in Piedmont, SC for the 2020 Wicked Weekend. The Wicked Weekend typically takes place inside an arena in Gainesville, GA. However, with covid restrictions they were forced to move the event, making this the first outdoor race in Racetime Entertainment history! Thursday was the first full day at the track and it was a dedicated practice day. Initially, there were two separate practice sessions that drivers had to choose from. With the weather that rolled in Wednesday night, practice didn’t start until around 11am Thursday morning. The Racetime crew decided to make practice a free for all, with more impending weather to hit Thursday evening. The team spent Thursday getting to know the track. They were learning the layout, but more importantly trying to decide on what tires they would need. The track was a living creature all weekend constantly changing as weather rolled in and out.
For tires, the team started with Green Reflexes and Triple Dees but ended up moving into bar tires during practice. By the end of the Thursday practice session they were on A2 Ellipses. It rained over night so they were predicting to be back on green reflexes at the beginning of the day Thursday and move to harder indoor style tires as traction came up on the track throughout qualifying. The track was constantly changing from wet and muddy to dry and dusty.
I kept skipping this video thinking I had seen it… but thought I might as well watch it again and I had never seen it… great coverage and photography…
Thanks for the professional coverage 👍💯💯💯
I've raced some the late 80s. I've seen every fad and driver come and go. Warms my heart that there are still serious passionate racers and new young bloods too! Best wishes great interviews!
This is probably the best race weekend video yet! The footage was great and the way you filmed each qualifier and met up with the drivers following to talk about changing track conditions and tire selections was very well put together
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Good stuff👍
Simply FUN to watch our great sport/hobby growing in media. Thanks Jason ans whole J Concepts team for doing this for us
Jason is a modern day Gene Husting. Nice job and entertaining to watch!
Great to hear from the racers throughout the meeting and seeing the racing, great work from J Concepts, thanks Jason for the coverage.
Love these videos Jason! Hopefully there will be more like this from the bigger races.

this looks great! love it
Hey Jason what sunglasses are you wearing in the beginning of the video? Love the videos, Thanks!
did he blame some random lady for keeping his engines? lol a wellness check... dang. tough break bro
awesome video!! thank you !
I've never driven 1/8 scale, it seems like when grip is high from the surface being tacky you run web type tread, closer to the slick end of the spectrum, but when grip is high due to an abrasive surface you start going back the other direction to a low, densely spaced knob tread? What is the reason for going back towards the knobby direction? Mayfield said it was "safe", but slower acceleration, and made it sound like Cavalieri did something different.
Really fast lawn mowers, yes very impressive.
C'mon man! No e-truggy? 1/8th nitro & e-truggy is the ticket!!
thanks to everyone
that one guy that admits to not giving his all, then says he follows mayfeild lol
Is this track open year-round?
Are all of these cars nitro? Do they have electric racing? The screen showed the leaders of the race saying it was pro electric racing. I new to rc so excuse the newbie question.
The races you see here are all nitro, but yes there are electric versions of all these truggies.
Why these rc videos never show the cars specs in details 😒 need to do more close up talking about there cars
I live 10min away I *really* wish I had known I would’ve brought my xray xb8e
Spencer was gluing something on the actual inside of the tire?
Red turtle shells 😂
Who isn’t sponsored when racing as a kid. Think 1/4 of the people get sponsored one way or another
I wish u guys would send me b2r to try out 😎👊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Go ahead mayfield that’s my luck 😂
Wow!
Holy shit how many sets off wheels that dude needs
unbelievable that Colorado has zero tracks now other than pueblo but who wants to drive 4 hours to tweeker town
LRC raceway looks pretty awesome. Utah is in a worse situation IMO
@@dirkharvey its been closed for a while my friend bought the Burlington lap counter equipment and took it to his awsome backyard track but no one wanted to pay to race. cheap fucks. 1200 on a car but NO to 10 bucks to race
naterally1 it is? I seen some racing there from the summer I though. Maybe recently closed? Sad news - was hoping for another decent track close. Sweetwater RC in WY looks to be the best option for me. 3.5hr drive. If only I had some property...
Holly freaking ads u guys put in here Jesus
Sorry, will adjust that, meant to turn them off during the video. That's UA-cam, not us.
No mask
More rc racing less talking
To much sreering
