Spent so much time there in my younger days...this was so appreciated and calming. The serenity actually gave me the sense of peace. I could it in my mind's eye. Thank you.
Love..Love...Love... Lake Tahoe area...Any time of year! My Favorite Place to Calm down and De-Stress! Even looking at this segment I could feel that Tranquility! and Breathe!...and we all need to now de-stress and take a deep breath!
My grandpa had a house built up near Tahoe City and I’ve been visiting Tahoe ever since...second home to me and my favorite place for peace of mind. Thank you grandpa.
I use to have a friend who lived in Reno. So I went to the lake any time I visited her. The last visit was 10 years ago in Oct. Was gorgeous weather. We rode the Miss Dixie paddle boat across the lake. Was awesome. Will never forget.
That's pretty much every weekend now. Even the shoulder season (Spring/Fall) is packed with tourists these days. I don't even bother going to the grocery store Friday through Sunday, because there is just way too many people visiting town.
As a 30 year Tahoe local, I am sad to see all the super rich push out the normal folks than make this community run. Not only that, but they have turned it into San Tahoe, with rude idiot drivers, and those that leave trash piles by the already full dumpsters... Then the bears are in the trash and they get euthanized for being to close to the humans. It really is heartbreaking. Please if you come here, pack your TRASH OUT! One more thing, how dare you paint our buildings and our boulders with graffiti! Please respect this place.
And its under danger from developers, too many rich people from the bay want to build their mcmansions everywhere.. just look what they did to el dorado hills..
@ri ro no it does not, I have lived here since the late 80's these last 5 years or so 'trophy' homes and condos have been sprouting up in every corner of South/West Lake Tahoe, from the most prestine property to the land next to door to slum property, they will buy anything come up 2 or 3 times a year rest of time rent out to anyone
The moment that got shown on TV was pitiful compared to that. THAT WAS AMAZING! Thanks for posting these, but it'd be even better if you would STOP EDITING THESE DOWN.
Its a big forest. I've had an experience of knowing it wasn't a bear(it was big) and have been places around the basin that could definitely be Squach territory.
By far one of the most beautiful places in the United States.
Most beautiful place on the planet.
@@StageRight123 Of course this is in California. And Nevada. The Sierra Nevada jewel of the American West.
I wait every Sunday morning for this segment. It’s a breath of fresh air and calm for the soul.
A person after my own heart.
Fourth generation Californian and never tire of this beautiful area. Thanks soooo much!
I live in Nevada and this place is magical... no matter how many times you go❤️
I feel the same about Niagara Falls. I live 25 minutes away and visit as often as possible. Never gets old. Nature is medicine. Blessings 😊🙏

Thank you.
Home sweet home. I've been living here for 36 years now. Most beautiful place on the planet!
Carson City, Nevada is home, so I consider this (i.e. the basin, lake, mountains, forest) my side yard. It is this tranquil.
Very true.
This is home for me. Love it. So beautiful
A bright spot in 2020
I’ve appreciated this segment on your show for many many years (beginning with Charles Kuralt) however more so now than ever.🦋 Many thanks.

On my bucket list
There is only the sounds of nature. I don’t know the last time I was somewhere like that.
This my part of Cali 🥰💖
I grew up in Gardnerville and Topaz areas. I hope they go back and film it again in winter.
I miss this beautiful place. ♥️Tahoe.

I agree! This was one of the worst years of tourist leaving trash around. (south lake)
Visited last summer. Spectacular.

I disagree I’ve going up to Tahoe for years and know the area very well there are a lot of restrictions on building etc especially north Tahoe
Lookup the TRPA - Tahoe Regional Planning Agency. The basin was zoned years ago.
Yes every day it gets worse

One dislike haha someone doesn't like nature
Probably someone who prefers golf courses and can't hike worth beans because he's always eating junk food. He already weights more than 320 pounds.
True. Democrats are the worst

Playing this on a continual feedback loop is the way....

This place is horrible, go to Yosemite or Yellowstone; much better there...
It's gorgeous out here. Everyday beautiful. Yosemite too. Earth is beautiful 😍 ❤ even cities have their charm. 😇😊
