I am almost in tears trying to use this. YOU ARE THE FIRST ONE TO SHOW ME WHERE "EXACTLY" TO PLACE MY HAIR. THANK YOU! I am going to try again! UPDATE!! I successfully curled my hair this time, THANKS TO YOU!! You are a good teacher!! I am subscribing xo 💕💕💕
Biiiiitch I just decided to take the leap and actually purchase this… (habitual ‘add to cart and never return’ kinda girl here) …and it was because of you and this video! I watched a bunch of others and they were mostly annoying/ cringe/ unhelpful, but this was so perfectly concise and clear. Which, if you understood the severity of my adhd, is insanely impressive. Thank you! Chi should be paying you for this, seriously. Cheers!
I got a haircut 2 days ago that requires me to curl it to look good, and OMG this tool is SUCH a lifesaver. I’ve never been good with curling irons but this thing, so easy to use.
Your video tutorial has been the best one that is out there. I reviewed over 15 videos and could not find one which captures how to insert hair so closely into the tool. Thank you 💕
Thank You for making this video! Also, I appreciate you getting into doing it more quickly than other video's in which they talked & talked & promoted themselves then talked & talked......🤷🏼♀️ I am standing here in my bathroom trying to figure out how to stick my hair in this thing that the girl at Sally's recommended I buy over all other curling device's. She thought since I struggled in the past with curling my own hair, this is thee "solution!", and her friend swears by it! I literally watched and listened to you as I tried applying it myself. The girl at Sally's said to stick my hair inside the barrel and I realized how impractical that is, it's too narrow to get anything in there and my hair is super thick /waist long. I'd love to show you how it turned out, and the results and wish we could post pictures on here! It was super fast BUT my question/issue is: My hair is too long for this short barrel??? If our hair is very long, are you only supposed to be focusing on curling the ends? It wouldn't even take much mid length to end, but my hair as I said, is at the top of my bottom at waist level long. So I went over sections a couple times but worried about heat tried not to go crazy. I guess what I'm wondering is if one has mega long hair, is it normal not to fit the whole length much of it onto the barrel for curls? Obviously this isn't a problem if I smooth it with a flat iron but I love curls and how pretty and feminine/soft the look is!!! 💕 I think it actually turned out okay and sort of pretty, considering the issue at hand and difficulty with length and the fact that I had zero experience curling other than an attempt in the past that didn't work out and too complicated with a regular curling iron. Should I look for a curling iron made for extra long hair, do they make those? Or am I gonna run into this basically with all barrels? I'll have to research and check around but I'm not due to see my stylist until Feb., and if I'm to return this gadget and look for something more accommodating then I want to do so fairly sooner than that. I guess that girl didn't consider the length of my hair when she was helping me although she did comment on how healthy and beautiful because she shared that sadly she is unable to grow her hair long and the hair she had is extensions but I definitely thought her extensions looked very convincing and natural! I guess I hadn't considered the length and was more concerned with barrel thickness and user-friendly or advice on how to get it right this time!!! Lots of curls out there and not all these curly ladies are achieving at the salon like I've had to. Your video got me through and as I mentioned I wish I could proudly show you the results and not perfect or great, but not bad at all and I guess I can't expect to be perfect like a professional works it but it gives me some texture & bounce and it's fun to have that pretty wave after sleeping in the curls!!! It's nice to have a different optional look rather than that smoothed look I've been doing since 2006! ❤️🌹❤️ Enjoyed!!! Thanks 😊
I’m so glad this tutorial was helpful Melissa! Find me on fb - I’d love to see your gorgeous long hair. Did you find a good starting point in the length that’s right for you? You might try smaller sections.
thanks so much for this great video. Always wondered if this really worked so I may now get this for my daughter for Christmas and i could benefit from one as well. thanks again and your hair looks great!
Pam - there are heat settings to adapt to your hair type, and if your hair gets tangled, it shuts down and releases your hair and you just slide the wand right out.
Great, helpful video! About how long did it take in 'real time' to do the curling part? Also, how long does your hair have to be for this to work with it? Mine is way shorter than yours, but long for me. Thanks!
Great video. Ulta will have this on sale online for 64.50 on the 8th 😁 because of your video I'm definitely going to get it!! Never purchased anything like this before. Because of early menopause my stick straight hair has recently gone very wavy 😳 I had no idea how to take care of it and I think this will be perfect.
I am really grateful for your video. My mom sells Avon and I have fallen in love with the Chi line. I spent the money on the hair dryer and love it. Then I spent the money on this item and trying to follow the manuel made no sense to me. I will try again but I actually might have gotten a defective one...because heating goes to what it wants and when it beeped at me I couldn't reset it. I had to literally unplug it. Also, I have really lone hair so this might not work with my hair but because you showed clear instructions I am going to try again. I now have more ability to rule things out. Thank you!
I've owned this tool for over a year now and never knew how to use it. Thank you for the helpful tutorial I was finally able to get it to work with my hair!!
Thanks for this video. I've never been able to get anything to curl my long, fine hair. Looks great when I pull it around to the front, but for the life of me, I can't get it to look like the back is curled at all. And that's even with sectioning it off, finishing with the top layer & holding the unit pretty much on the top of my head. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Couple things you could try. Section off smaller pieces. Play with adjusting the temperature and timer of each pass. Try holding the curl up in a coil while it cools. Use a heat spray before each curl snd spray each curl with hairspray once it cools. Hope some of these help you.

idk why it doesn’t do tight curls in mine… it barely even did a curl half way down my hair and i was holding it up to my head 😭 idk if my hair is too long or what
Thank you so much for this video I had one for ever a year now and it would always hurt my hair or it would tell me to reset over and over turns out I was putting way to much hair ugh! Wish I would’ve known sooner could’ve been rocking curly hair more often but thank you. now I will be going to school with really curly hair (: god bless you 🤍

@@BlancaIngles88 a mistake i was making in the beginning was not holding the button down long enough to make sure the ends of my hair were wrapped around the barrel. It's not a press and release motion - it's a press and hold until you see all your hair wrap up - then release. Hope that helps you.
I just bought this, I can get it perfect on my right side I just have trouble doing the left. And can’t figure out how to do it I’m not sure if it’s because I’m a left handed or what
I set mine at 385 and it does each curl for 15 seconds, beeps and then you pull the curl out. The heat setting depends on your hair, high heat for thick hair, medium heat for medium hair and low heat for fine hair.

Thank you so much for demonstrating how to load your hair properly. I watched six other videos and none of them explained it clearly.
Oh so glad this helped you out!
Thank you. Just bought this and watched several videos but still couldn’t figure out exactly how to thread my hair. This helped.
Yay! Glad it helped!
Thank you so much!!! I have been struggling with this tool and your tutorial broke this down and I finally understand what I'm supposed to be doing

It’s not hairspray it’s the CHI heat protection
Great video! Very informative and there are added extra tips! Thank you!!

Update: it works. I was holding it backwards 😂

I just bought two of these and I'm havering difficulty
Hope this tutorial was helpful
15 seconds seems so long to have your hair on a tool! Does it cause a lot of damage?
I always use a heat protectant spray. You can also adjust the time you'd like it to hold the hair in the barrel.
You said leave on the lowest setting ?
Is that 1 inch or 1.25 inch barrel?
How do I change the temp its stuck on the lowest
Can you use it with wet hair?
I don't recommend using it on wet hair.
Do you know what heat your on and how many seconds you put?
It’s times automatically heat u can adjust it i
Well that wasn’t helpful
I set mine at 385 and it does each curl for 15 seconds, beeps and then you pull the curl out. The heat setting depends on your hair, high heat for thick hair, medium heat for medium hair and low heat for fine hair.
What size barrel?
Nice video!
excellent video
I can’t get it to work
Thank you.
It’s not working for super long hair 😕
Try starting it further down the hair shaft vs close to your head and see if that helps.
Ok
What now I don't use is the temperature 🌡️ setting
You can adjust the temperature setting that’s right for your hair type.
Thank you!! Great video :)
Super helpful, thank you!
