Historically, the closer people lived to each other, the more genetic markers they shared. By using these regional patterns of variation, we can track the migratory paths of your ancestors to tell where you came from.

I just did a DNA test through 23andme. I was impressed with the health results. But not no much with the ethnicity. They combine my Asian and native american together. Will this test do the same? Will this also tell me who I am related to in history? Will this tell me if I have Viking blood like my surname self, selph ancestors were? I need it know before I waste my money, time, energy and get my hopes up.

      Ds c
      It's a waste.
Databases are mostly targeted for Americans and Europeans.
      Asian database is barely full.
Only "Asia East". no ethnic groups

Genes don’t necessarily reflect what you were told growing up or what culture you claimed as your own.

Because our chromosomes are called X and Y chromosomes. In chickens and some other birds there are W and Z chromosomes. They just named them after letters in the alphabet.

In my daughters haplogroup it came up as Tuareg ....Fezzan 68 per cent so what does that mean ....this dna test was done on the maternal Linniege
But out main results were 90 per cent english , 8 per cent Scandinavian and 2 percent Italian . As I say the top of out haplogroup was the 61 percent Tuareg ...Fezzan which is Libya

Sonia Dyne sounds like the woman who started your maternal line was a Berber. Maybe she migrated to Italy and married an Italian, who married a Scandinavian, who moved to Germany or England.
