Yip so that is a Fuel cuttoff solenoid, when ignition is on it allows fuel to flow when ignition is off it closes the flow. The fuel mixture screw on that carb if i am not mistaken is just below where that solenoid fits in. In the vw carb the mixture screw is located near where you have that breather pipe piece. Im here to find out which way to turn to richen and which way to make it lean.
