I really appreciate the fact that she understands she doesn't have a gritty voice so she doesn't growl or scream the whole song. You're either born with a rasp or you're not, and although I love Joplin's signature rasp, she still did the song justice.

I sent 4 of Amanda's songs on CD to an Alternative radio station to see if they'll put her on the air. If they decide to play at least one song for people to vote her into their regular rotation, I'll have to figure out how to get the word out so people can call in to the station to vote. The best part is that the station broadcasts worldwide on the internet too. They have received the CD, so I'm now waiting to follow up with them in another day from posting this.
