- For more than a week, I stayed in Otluk, a village in the Afyonkarahisar province of Turkey. Earlier, I had experienced a Turkish village in 2018 in a different province. The reason I could reach Otluk was my friend Gokhan, who, after hosting me, has now started to host other tourists.

Thank you for choosing to show a village culture. I think there's more story and life to them as compared to the glamorised city culture. You could see the love in all of the people you met, it shows in their eyes when they greet you, it warms my heart to see them so happy and welcoming. Reminds me of my mom. When not a lot of people come to meet you, when someone finally comes, people try to give them their everything to provide the best hospitality.

In our Village, especially Maternal home, people still sit together in mass and prepare "Litti/Baati Chokha". Some gets gram powder, some gets brinjal and Aaloo for chokha, some gets Uple for fire...and that's how collectively we sit and relish the food. I wish this trend won't get faded ever.
We also do the same during chhath Puja time.😊

Quite true. In cities, everything is exchanged on money. But in villages, the sharing culture is still there. What I like about them, they easily share their things with other person whether the kitchen item or food item especially on occasion. Everyone is willing to co-operate for community. Their hearts are bigger.

Nice informative vlog on real rural Turkey- saw rural Turkish food culture religion houses. The concept of community kitchen is very nice( its also there in our country in some states) The wall hanging and the procedure to make was so nice. How many grapes did you eat while moving the trolley???😂😂 Heard so many Turkish terms and words.Lastly how excited were the young footballers in showing their team jersey. Overall Otluk village life is good like any typical country life. Thank you for presenting this offbeat Turkey...

In Assam the community feasts are still available during Magh (also known as Bhogali) Bihu even in cities. Similar group feasts are still available in some other occasions also in Assam

Community Kitchens still exists in the Villages of bihar where the ladies from village go together and roasts peanuts, chewra, grams, etc on the wood fire and prepare namkin snacks.

When u mentioned community bread making, i remembred of the story of how Christians started cake making in india during Christmas, the Baker would go to diffrent homes and take the material required to make a cake and then make the cake and deliver it to everybody, this is little diffrent from what Varun mentioned but yeah food practices develop in a similar fashion
