Thank you for making this simple and straightforward. I shave my head due to alopecia, and this is great for year 'round.

So kool and easy. I am now convinced to treat myself to a sewing machine for Christmas and get back into to sewing. This takes me back to the days of sewing with my mom

She's an excellent teacher! I've tried to understand this from a pattern, but it wasn't until I watched her that the light bulb went off over my head.
Oh! So THAT'S how it works!

Thank you! This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've lost most of my hair since menopause so I need something pretty to keep my head warm and still flaunt my "hippy" bohemian style.
I have some shorter, sample pieces of fancy knit fabrics. I want to try mixing two together to make the tube. I think it will look really cool with the twist to show contrasting fabrics.
Love your steel drum music too. I bought my son a steel tongue drum, but he didn't like it, so I'm trying to learn how to play it myself! At least it sounds better than when I tried to teach myself to play saxophone... I scared my poor dog honking on that thing.
Years ago, I was lamenting that I wish I'd learned to play an instrument when I was young, and someone told me to do it now! It's never too late to learn new things, and he was so right. I've learned from UA-cam to do home repairs and even some simple car repairs that saved me $$ (more money to spend on fabric and tools, am-I-right? 😉)
I love finding creative people like you to teach me. I've sewn all my life, but there's always more to learn and you are a joy to watch and listen to, beautiful lady! I'm subscribing! 🤩

@Lazy I Ranch thank you so much. I actually have a new version of the beanie with two fabrics coming soon just to edit. These hats are really cool and comfy but remember you can also use old T-shirts as well. You can save more $$ by reusing unloved garments. Hope that helps. Also, you are right you are never too old to learn, keep going wish you well.

heck, I can't even imagine how in the earth did someone come up with this design. must've been some kind of master mind. my brain twists just from trying and keep up with the procedure being shown on the video. I'm sewing this, that's for sure!

IKR?? I've sewn all my life but never would have thought of this on my own!
Have you seen the fabric origami butterflies that are made by simply folding a rectangle of fabric? They are beautiful and so clever. I have a box full of fancy decorator fabric swatches that are perfect for making them, so I'm going to make a bunch to decorate clothes, and this hat after I make it.

Do you think it will work with fleece fabric?

    • @MalkasGlowUP

Hi @jenniferalexander9252, sure as long as the fleece fabric has a stretch it will surely work.

Thanks for showing this I've always struggled with sewing this type of hat and I think it's because I sewed it together while the twist is near the end where I'm sewing. Your pinning method appears to get the whole twist-out away to the other end of the hat.
