Dejacking of the roof at Al Wakrah stadium: mission accomplished!

Al Wakrah, 20 km south of Doha, is one of the 8 stadia that will host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. More than 40,000 spectators will be able to watch the World Cup matches in this new ultra-modern stadium, shaped like a futuristic boat hull.
A crucial milestone was met last week: on 26th April the dejacking of the roof of the stadium has been successfully completed. A major feat if you think of the 7.000 ton of roof steel structure that had to be moved and secured exactly at the perfect angle. A virtuoso piece of engineering and team work! Congratulations to all teams involved.
