As someone who has done boxing for a good 15 years, it is really nice to see influencers approach the sport with the respect and class that is associated with a combat sport that can lead to quite severe injuries when not taken seriously. I mean, it's so nice to hear someone say that a knockout is not mandatory, the sport does not require someone being pummeled so hard they lose consciousness to be entertaining, nor does a boxer need to lay someone out to be considered "good"

I'm just gonna say you did good Ian. The entire event was _very well_ put together (and it was your first ever which is even crazier) and had some insane/hilarious names on the card and everyone obviously took it seriously. This is what influencer boxing should be like, goofy shit with fun people in a serious enough package. Huge props to you guys organizing it and everyone who volunteered and gave it their best. Hopefully we'll see more!

The knockout definitely doesn’t matter. One of my favorite matches was Ryan’s fight against Alex Ernst after Matt got TKO’ed in 23 seconds. It was the best underdog match and Ryan stayed up the whole time to avenge his best friend even with a broken nose.

I didn't know this was happening and was confused why I was seeing clips floating around on UA-cam. I'm a boxing fan and seeing how this event was treated and how the fighters matches played out made me super impressed. I saw nothing but respect and heart. good job to everyone involved!

My favorite part of the whole thing was that no one took THEMSELVES too seriously, but still took the actual fight as seriously as possible. It's awesome that everyone was able to have a sense of humor about the whole thing and joke with their opponents before the fight but then when it came down to it no one was pulling their punches.

Oh yeah, It was so cool to see how respectful and serious people took this.. they all trained extremely hard and you could tell.. it was amazing to see the effort even if some people were caught off when they finislly stepped into the ring, you could see they still worked really hard to get there.

I've always been a fan of fighting be it Boxing, MMA, WWE and to be honest the best part is the fight with both fighters being respectful. The whole song and dance drama is just annoying, like why do you have to hate/pretend to hate the person you're fighting and blast it on social media like an unhappy middle aged Karen who lost touch with her religion and is now trying on the opposite of those beliefs

Keemstar talking about how "Important" a knockout is, shows his lack of boxing knowledge. Most professional boxers don't want a knockout. Getting knocked out in Boxing has resulted in brain damage and even death. Being knocked out from a punch means that your brain was literally slammed against the inside of your own skull from the impact of blunt-force trauma, and you blacked out as your brain literally shut-down and you lost consciousness. Getting knocked out or knocking out an opponent is actually one of the worst ways to win/lose a fight in boxing, and is considered a instant victory if they hit the mat that hard and don't get back up.
But it's also why after being knocked down in a boxing match and getting up before the 10-count, they'll take the fighters aside and check the person that was downed for a concussion (which FYI, is when your brain is literally swelling from damage and you can DIE if you take another impact while concussed). So NO! The knockout is not important. It sure makes for a great story, and some famous moments in boxing have come from knockouts. But any trained boxer is typically going for points, or simply wearing their opponent down until they're too exhausted and/or forced to concede (which is why coaches "throw in the towel" when their fighter is literally stumbling around the ring against an opponent who looks ready to go 5 more rounds, because it's in the best interest for their fighter to...ya'know...potentially not die from getting knocked out in the next round).
This guy has never watched a single boxing match. This drama before the fight is not a youtube exclusive. Look up legends like Muhammed Ali or Mike Tyson's press conferences..
@@rihasanatrofolo2472 That's different, Muhammad Ali (and Mike Tyson) used the drama to mentally affect his opponents so they performed worse in the ring. These children like Jake Paul do it because they think it gets them more views/money/whatever.
