Ahhhh to hear Danny Elfman doing the Opening and Closing..unbelieeevable..worth it for just that.
jacks obbsession scared me, but making christmas, emy's lee's and korn's covers were really good, those are my fav
I think the guy from the Plain White T's actually tried to sound like Jack, I liked that.
The vocal tracks are hit-or-miss, but all of the instrumental tracks are amazing.
woah i think HIM would of done at least one cover cuz the lead singer, Ville Valo, loves this movie
but i really love all these covers .
they both sound about the same. Both Flyleaf & Jacks sounded similiar.
I like
Marylin Manson's, Polyphonic Spree's, Sparkle House's, Korn's, Rodrigo y Gabrilla's, RJD2's, Plain White T's, and Datarock's version.

Flyleaf was amazing! I love them,aha,I just wish the rest of the song was happy like the ending is.
it is a really good movie and i like it alot but i also think that this is a good pdate of the songs..most did pretty good..

Amy Lee's and Korn's cover r brill, sm of the others r alright, i dont know about the rest of ye but i personally thought that Flyleaf really messed up "What's This?"

Awesomee. I think however All American Rejects and Flyleaf sounded a little flat. But Amy Lee, Korn, Marilyn Manson and everyone else did awesome.
I still think Fiona Apple's cover of Sally' Song is the best from the last re-release of the soundtrack
Flyleaf were...Alright but in the movie Jack's really like =O OMG WHAT'S THIS and Flyleaf don't sound shocked at all they sound sort of monotone. The All American Rejects' cover is growing on me but still isn't half as good as the original. =)

True. But even if it's not the BEST they could've done, it's still better than several other songs on this album, a few I mentioned already. But I DO like this song more than "What's This," which was done too slow and whiny for a song meant for wonderment and exploration.
Rise Against also did awesome :)
Amy Lee is the highlight of this album, its so amazing :D
The All American Rejects really do mangle it. :-\
OMG!! Amy lee's version of Sally's song is AMAZING!!!! Korn and Rise Against were AWESOME as well. But thats pretty much the only good songs on the CD.

I really like the instrumentals. Korn, Rise Against and Amy Lee were really good too. Everything else is crap though. Flyleaf's What's This completely took the wonder and magic out of the song and turned it into something boring and depressing. I'd get it for the interesting instrumental interpretations though.

the only good versions on here are manson's of this is halloween and amy lee's of sally's song. in my opinion the songs come beeter when they're done by goth bands.

WOW! Awesome CD. I normally don't like The Plain White Tees, but they did a really good job with their cover. And So Did Manson and Rise against and Korn and STG and Amy Lee. But wtf Flyleaf, I love them and I thought this was awful, and AAR did okay but I vocal needed to be lower. AND WTF WITH TOWN MEETING SONG???? I was like Whaaaaaaaa? The Insturmentals were BA!

Yeah, The AAR cover sounds horrible. It's so nasally. And Polyphonic Spree? What was that? Sparklehorse was...odd. But Amy doing Sally's Song in full is fantastic. :D

Am I the only person that thought All American Rejects did a good job with Jack's Lament? It's a sorrowful song, it's not supposed to be hardcore like Manson's or Korn's songs, both of which were excellent. And the Yoshida Brothers? Hell yes!
And I like Flyleaf and all, but I thought their "What's This" was HORRENDOUS, much more so than AAR. And The Town Meeting Song and Jack's Obsession, two of my favorite songs from the soundtrack, were ABSOLUTELY BUTCHERED.

I was soooo dissapointed with the last CD this one is great! Amy lee kicked ass and was the best no doubt! Flyleaf entertaining! korn was fun and awesome! rise againts was great! and all american regects and plain white T's sounded flat and had no emotion :( Im glad they kept marilyn from the last one he was one only one who did a good job! The instrumentals are well done! except i wasnt impressed with nabbed...and since when is the Oogie Boogie song instrumental? But Over all I LOVE IT!!!!
Amy is my personal favorite of these tracks... and definetely followed by Korn!! But Flyleaf just sucked here...i do totally love them though, but Whats This? is my favorite song, and they just ruined it...!

the cd is freaking awsome !!!! the only 2 songs that are bothering me are "Whats this" , the vocalist of that song is SO boring !!!!!!!!!! Whats this is the happy song of the movie and she makes it SO boring sjeesj ,, + Oogie boogie song is catchy but no vocals =/ OVerall, Its a nice album to revisited to world of nightmare

Does the lead singer of Flyleaf know you can sing a song with more than one note? Because she sure as hell didn't show it in What's This...
They've made a mess of all the great Nightmare songs......they should have left them as thewy were....

Wow. Flyleaf sucked, no offense; Marilyn Manson did a great job; AAR... tried, but Tyson's voice just isn't creepy enough; Rise Against was good; Amy Lee's was really pretty; Plain White Tees were okay; and those are the only ones I really listened to, cause I've never heard of any of the other people on here.
So what ? Disney isnt all about hsm crap you know -_- get real POTC is also from disney

Amy Lee was was the only good vocalist. The rest have a hate sound that don't bring deliver. The orginal soundtrack (which I have) is my best bet. Danny Elfman and the rest have better voices than these here.
All-American Rejects and Flyleaf suck anyway. Even in their own songs. Much less screwing up someone else's. Rise Against did a good job with their song and Manson's job was probably easiest since he got the coolest song in the movie. Jack's Obsession made me want to commit suicide. Korn did ok. That song never really was all that good. They did the best with what they had. Amy Lee was perfect for sally's song. Oogie boogie's song sounded good. The finale rocked. Overall it was average.
I really don't like what I'm hearing. Numetal and emo can ruin anything.
Say what you like about Fall Out Boy, but they shit all over Flyleaf's cover of 'Whats This'.. I mean she sounds like a depressed thirteen year old, sorry :)
