@@Buildbox That passive comment crap wont pay your bills in 3 months when everyone drops away from using BB. Prediction: Now that Kenney NL and Construct Engine have tweeted about this....Showing it was a bad move...Within 30 days TOPS you will revert back or offer a reasonable deal. Bet MONEY. There is no way AppOnboard paid 10s of millions of dollars just to flush it all away. Fix it...then make a "you wanted it, we listened" type of update and you should be able to PARTIALLY recover. This isn't what you guys thought it would be.....with SOME users being upset.
We literally have other engines and major respected asset designers speaking out about it. It went from "Ahh some users will be mad but we will be ok" to "OMG KENNY NL AND CONSTRUCT ENGINE SPOKE AGAINST IT" And i seen some Tik Tok employees liked Kennys tweets. These first few days you will only respond with basic scripted style comments. But watch, week or 2 all of this will be undone. Imagine you used Photoshop and adobe demanded you pay them even 10 percent from sales of your art...PLUS sub to the software...Free version....70 to user 30 to BB. fair. Paid user...dont touch. Its scammy. that's the best you can do right now. This 70 to BB just killed BB. There isnt a single software in existence who does this. Why? There is a reason....Whoever runs this YT account, no doubt you wont pass any of our words on. Maybe you will.
BB has made shady choices and i...one of the top hyper fans, kept quite. But this....Within a few hours i went form hyper fan to literally installing Unity with Bolt and even Manu Game Maker. and if this remains, soooo many big names will educate the public and convince them to use another dev software. Then we officially will witness those 10s of millions of dollars apponboard spent to acquire BB go down the drain. And, at that point it wont matter what deal BB offers, the damage will be done and not reparable.

@@quantonium8298 at first I fought the new terms. But thinking about it...this is great. It went from 10 percent down to about 1. If you made 1 million bucks...and 100k of that was from BB ads...they would only get 10k. Vs before they would get 100k.
And it only happens when your normal ads fail to load. Its win win. We DO need to have a way that BB can gain more funding so we all can get better software and make more money. This does just that. I would delete my previous comments but I think it's best to have a record of how BB has evolved. How the company went from 1 choice to another all because enough of us raised issue with it.
To most paid users, the perfect spot is for BB to only take their subscription money. And no doubt they could and BB would continue. But I'm sick of waiting 3 years just to get a MAJOR update. That's what happens when they only gain sub money. Years tick by and we all complain of bugs and lack of this or that function etc. This, this solves that. And it doesn't break your bank. A happy spot. If you made 900k from your ads and AdBox made 100k...you would have 990k. That 10k is like a cup of coffee then. A cup of coffee that takes those 3 years progress and zips it Into 6 months. This...is what I want.
Imagine if unity did this? Say they did...oh wait...they DO. Unity has it's own ads network you can choose to use and they get a cut of it. As a matter of fact, it looks like BB is emulating the big dogs....finally! The numbers will be diff because Unity is super huge and BB is much smaller but it's the same thing. We can argue about "but it's not forced" etc etc but that's a given. BB is Tony compared to Unity. Unity has more wiggle room. BB will get there too.
We cant keep complaining of bugs and crying about BB doesnt have this or that feature, and then in the same breath prevent them from making more money to fix these things. This new rule is perfect. Even better than if they said they will only take 1%. Better than THAT.
You guys just changed the pricing plans.thanks pathetic. You charge money every month and that's ok but now you're saying you will take revenue share from us. That is pathetic. Now switching back to UNITY after long use of buildbox. Piece of advice swtich back to your old plan.. otherwise many people will go away and swtich back to unity..
you forgot to mention it's 70% of the revenue for the free plan.

I got an email saying that buildbox is getting an update so that we can now use ad monetization and export to android for free. I just came back to look at your youtube channel. I left buildbox an year ago because most of the features were premium. But now, Im thinking of downloading it again but i have a suggestion that you improve the visuals of 3d a bit
So that we can add metalicness etc. to our objects and they dont look dull
