The reason the 6 point contact system is better is because you can put your stand at an angle (if the tree is crooked) and it still grabs on just as well.
It's difficult to say if the 6 point is better or not. I haven't noticed any improvement. In other words, the bat wing feels just as sturdy to me. It also depends on the tree type - bark, softness, diameter, etc.
Lone wolf does have the seat hooks. Both mine are from early 200s and have them!
Lone Wolf/Novix has an E-Z hang hook which makes them very safe to hang. For this reason I am a Novix guy and wouldn't consider buy the the Lone Wolf Custom Gear or XOP.
XOP has something like that too. I've never used it so it's hard to say how well it works.
Have you ever used Lone Wolf Custom Gear?
@@RelentlessSportsmanthe XOP bracket is similar to the Summit bracket which is very loud. No, I've never used a Lone Wolf Custom or XOP. But I've hung a ton of stands and the E-Z hook makes it much easier. If you haven't tried it I'd recommend it.
Awesome video!
Thank you!
I appreciate you taking the time to watch the video, Kevin.
Isn't lone wolf done? They ran Novix but LW for reasons closed and Novix continues.
Yes, as of January 2nd, I believe. They've been around so long that it's easy to find Lone Wolf stands still. Plus they're good quality so purchasing a used one isn't an issue.
Lol what about millennium tree stands. Some of the best around
I thought they owned both companies lol learn something new
And now, Lone Wolf isn't a company. Crazy!!
So if someone wants a Lone Wolf stand, they have to order it from Novix.
you really need to lean against a seat while standing for a half an hour? "snow flake"
I realize that Lone Wolf is no longer around. However, since Lone Wolf started so many years ago, it's easy to find their stands for sale (that's what I ended up doing).
Novix is Lone Wolf's 'new company'. Lone Wolf and Novix are similar, but also have some differences worth looking into.
Xop vanish evo is $100 cheaper and 1lb heavier
@@reddawng43x91 1lb heavier than the Lone Wolf Assault 2?
I got some of them old school welded steel stands. Used them for years. After upgrading to a hawk combat stand, I realize what a nightmare them old stand are to set up lol. So I got a cpl of of locations I typically set up, and leave for the season. The combat, and a helium ultra light. And later I got a XOP setup that I stay mobile with.
