@@anothergirlnamedhannah i get that ALL. THE. TIME! And I’m not a licensed cosmetologist, but I’ve been dying my hair long enough that I know what works and what my hair can handle. And people still tell me my hair’s gonna “fall out”. Like no it’s not.

I literally am trying to get out the horrible blue and gray patchy mess from my toner yesterday 😂 i used lemon juice mixed with dish soap and baking soda, took quite a bit out but it still horrible so I’m doing it again as I write this
If you can get your hands on sime Olaplex #1 and use it with the joico color eraser, thats the only thing that got this slate grey/blue out of my hair😊

The best way to find out what works best is trying it out yourself. And I'm also a hairstylist. I've made mistakes on mine but it has helped a lot when coloring clients.🤔🤣

Hey Aislinn try crazy colour back to base that works for me on directions and manic panic its for direct dyes and you can use as light of a peroxide as you want on it and it still works

I'm curious - if a permanent dye remover is used on direct dye color, what does that do to the hair? Does that cause the hair to be stained?

Help! So I’ve had the weirdest thing happen with the vitamin c removal process. So long story short I used the vitamin c blended to powder and head and shoulders and the color completely comes off to blonde. But then out of nowhere the color I had shows up again but only in certain spots and the rest stays blonde. And when I mean blonde I mean like a nice blonde. So confused as to why the blue shows up after washing my hair the second time. Any idea?

HELP 😞 I used Joico red in my hair and when I tried bleaching it out, it turned HIGHLIGHTER ORANGE!! How can I get all of that out?? Please help. I am desperate

I have aquamarine and purple haze in my hair and its been 5 mth cant get it out I applied Dawn dish soap to my ends and it turned my bright dark blue light whitish grey in only a couple min of rubbing it on 4 inches of my ends
In my experience, DDL dosnt do much for me and my hair. I've been using Pulp Riot Blank Canvas or Paul Mitchell The Color XG clear booster l. Both with 10 or 20 volume and they worked super well!
i'm trying to get out some shitty lowlights this chick put in my hair like 5 months ago (she said that it was temporary dye). I've done malibu cpr twice and coloroops and it's still there, just lighter. Think Blank Canvas will work?
Try Ion hair color remover... it works amazing for me and it just mixes with water... doesn't damage at all... it comes in a little purple packet at Sally's. I put it on and put a plastic cap on my head and wrap in a towel for heat.

I had arctic fox virgin pink in my hair...used the baking soda method it totally came out of my hair. I used 1 box of baking soda...enough 10 vol ion sensitive scalp developer to make it a thin consistency...less thick than say mixed bleach hair dye... I did 2 generous drizzles of Clairol shimmer lights shampoo and 2 drizzles of dish soap... ALSO put in ION's version of Olaplex...had the box of it and used the little measure cup with it.. 1/8 + 1/4 of it. Put it in my hair left it in for like about an hour (with cap over it) went and took a shower and it took all my magenta hair color out. was left with my super blonde hair again...(also did another wash with shimmer lights shampoo and conditioner afterwards to tone it a bit more and make sure I had gotten all the baking soda mixture out. my hair was still in good condition after that) Wish I had known about this when I used lunar tides rose frost ...which was a total fail color and waste of $30 buying for my long hair(advertised as a cool pink everyone thought I dyed my hair I would say it was more a smokey mauve or smokey purpley shade instead of cool pink as they advertised)

i used 20 vol developer instead of water (something my teacher told me) and it worked super well! although it did dry me out a tad.
We had this in the salon I used to work at and one day I read the ingredients of it and the active ingredient in it is actually baking soda so really they're just making you pay for a watered down version of your baking soda method ❤️ the more ya know

I took it out. I didn’t like it 90% of the time and it was annoying to have something on my lips all the time. It doesn’t affect kissing at all 👍🏻

Red and orange tones come out with dev. And blue and green tones will come out better with water! With the DDL mixture. Use crystal gel and leave 1/4 left before hand then DDL then the left over crystal gel!

You gotta CPR it first my dude. At least thats what I learned in the Malibu class at premiere Orlando. Its worked everytime for my sister and I who change our color monthly.
That Joico color remover (that is Def just bleach) with clarifying shampoo in place of developer worked well to take blue out of my hair. Just putting it out there for folks.

Why does everyone seem to think thy have the right to correct you? Having watched your vids for a while now, I would not have assumed that you did not have some kind of cosmetology or hair craft education. You have commented too many times of the chemical make up of hair and hair colours.

I think if you try mixing this with a deep clean shampoo will work better and spread easily

I will say, joico color eraser mixed with water was able to remove guy tangs hot pink demi from my hair and it lifted to the most beautiful blonde to where I didnt even need to tone my hair. I learned from a joico educator that it should be used mixed with water first, then mixed with 10 vol if you dont get enough lift, then 20 vol as a last resort. But their packaging just says to go right to 20 vol! Also, when mixed with water it doesnt lift your natural, so I didnt have to worry about my roots lifting all crazy. I've never had good luck with DDL doing much of anything.

Hey I was wondering if you could give me some advice.. I fucked up big. Back in like nov I was getting roots but not enough to bleach yet but the color was faded baddd. So I decided to redye (manic panic and conditioner) but not touch the roots. A few weeks later I bleached my roots and when I went to wash the bleach out I stuck my head under the water a couple times quickly then put a bit of shampoo in and worked it all over for like a 1-2 minute not done right at all bleach bath. Then redyed my whole head a lighter/brighter shade. That’s when I saw that back in nov when I was dying my hair but not roots I had accidentally overlapped onto my roots in ALOT of places and it’s extremely obvious. My natural hair color is ginger. So I’m unsure how to fix this... cause now the not bleached spots are a couple inches from my scalp. When I bleach my roots this next time should I just drag the bleach all the way through? Or should I just try to put bleach on just those not bleached spots?
I would just try to bleach the spots you missed. If your hair is healthy and it’s easier for you then you could drag everything through 👍🏻💕

Maybe it will help if you cancel out the colours with the opposites? It's time consuming but I had green in my hair and dyed over it with orange-red and the green is gone and the orange-red is not intensive anymore. :) So in a few washes it will be blonde again :)
I would LOVE true crime while dyeing videos! That's basically what I do when I dye my hair. Put on a true crime podcast and go in.
Pulp Riot Blank Canvas is the best for removing direct dyes!! It contains aloe vera so it keeps the integrity of your hair while lifting out any direct dyes! have tried both the DDL and Blank Canvas and the Blank Canvas is by far way better!

At least the CPR isn’t really damaging. DDL I’m not a fan of personally. Found it way drying (with water) and minimal results. Actually doing a Malibu crystal gel full treatment (45,in Ute s) with undogoo shampoo has pulled a good amount of direct dye surprisingly
Why’d you take out your lip piercing ?
I use this a lot I’d love to see you do it again with enough product and leaving it in long enough and adding heat.

Not a fan of Malibu products for color removing.. so far the Joico color eraser has been the best for removing all my colors and it worked fast.
