Wow!! All the new subscribers!!! This is awesome!! I love a BIG family! WELCOME and HELLO everyone 😊. This channel is so much fun! I don't even like to call it a "channel".. That word isn't an accurate description. Family? Group of friends? Oh silly me it's an ARMY. Buckin Billy's Army!! Is that right everybody? And we are the soldiers of kindness? Or am I misinterpreting something?

It sure is Mikey! Ever since I found this family here, my experience with UA-cam has changed. I get a post notif from Buckin and I legit get excited to see the video. I know it's going to be great, friendly, uplifting, funny, educational, and I get the feeling like I'm about to see family/friends who I haven't seen in a while. Lol it's hard to explain really. I haven't "met" a single person who wasn't welcoming, warm, comforting, and a total pleasure to be hangin with! It's a great place for sure the only "channel" that's fun and interactive. I'm not just a viewer amongst a bunch of strangers. I can ask questions and ppl are so helpful and not judgmental... I really look forward to every single video b/c regardless of content I know it'll be great and I'm happy to see familiar names.. Idk it's hard to explain really. I can't wait to put faces and smiles with people's names when I can finally meet them. (Hopefully at Buckinstock!) 😊

Well Denice you're doing excellent at explaining something you find hard to explain lol I know what you mean pal I've been hanging around just over a year now & I'm not going anywhere not now not ever, I've found something rare & unique here & I love it! Buckin has been nothing short of an inspirational role model for me (& I'm 54! lol. The subscriber count has more than doubled in a year the future of the place excites me! We've all got something in common here & it really is "SPECIAL", heck I love everyone here lol, chin up pal 💪❤️👍

The next best thing to splitting wood yourself is watching someone else split wood, I love it!
I grew up splitting wood on a block, so I always lean towards having one. I kind of wish I hadn't gotten used to it, you do save time and effort going at it right off the ground. Keep kind!

You epitomise what life should be about, we all look way too deep and think happiness is gaining money and possessions, and being better than the next man. ITS NOT.
my life has recently gone through major changes, and I always knew what the key was, I just needed a wee nudge to remind me what way to continue on, and now, life couldn’t be better.
A man who to this day still inspires once said, The key to immortality is first leading a life worth remembering......

UA-cam can be a very interesting ride!
My father had gifted me his old 1970-80s Homelite Super E-Z. This saw means more to me than he will ever know. It was the very first saw I have ever worked. The sound of the thing takes me back to a great place. I have been trying my best to fix an issue with the manual oiler, but I have been stumped. I turned to UA-cam to see if I could get some help. That is when I ran into one of the greatest channels I have ever seen!
    Billy!!!
    You are my boy!!!
Your message, your content, your personality!
You make me miss parts of my life I had forgotten. Thats a good thing!
As frustrated as I have been trying to get this old saw running; I am so glad that it has failed. If it hadn't i would have never found this place.

i haven't swung a double bit a while i might have to head out into the woods today. i saw you do a reverse split when the double bit stuck into the wood and you flipped the axe over to hit the other bit and let the weight of the log split it self, i have done that lots with single bits by hitting the poll but never with a double bit.

I don't like to make suggestions on your artwork (axes) because I know you put so much thought and heart into each one. However...maybe you could start burning them just above bottom hand so the marking might not wear out as quick? Sorry...Just thinking out loud again!😀

Sharpening a dull axe comes with using it, but chipping the edge on a big rock because it was buried in the dirt, that can just ruin your day haha, nice video buckin!!

When I was young I never stood the wood on end to split it. Just like you I split it laying on its side swinging both ways with a double bit. I even did this with old growth sugar pine that my truck would only hold one round. I used to hold a log over the bed of the truck with a 980 Cat and just buck it off into the truck. When I hit 40 years old I bought a splitter lol. We have a Wood Mizer sawmill. I still fell big pine but not for higher any more.
We sell mostly 1×12 pine siding and have for 29 years. I think after I broke 6 ribs and my shoulder when I was 40 that splitting by hand was not worth the pain. We live off grid. Between dad and I we go through 8 cords a year. I've been burning wood for heat since 1970. Its all I know. Nice of you to help out. Love is always the right thing to do!
