Great video thanks , any idea's how to get rid of condensation in the dash or is that normal, is there a permanent fix for it or does everyone have condensation in dash in colder weather , I guess sealing it up would make it worse as it needs to breath
Wait what!? I just noticed i bought the MT-10 frame plugs from you. :-D I got the 2018 model but my dash is allready dark? I think its standard or mabe the previous owner did the mod?
I can remember back its been quite a few years ago before color TV they sold a film to put over your screen and it didn't work well don't they offer a tft for these bikes ?
The SP has TFT. What's forgotten/not known is the MT10 was. Sub £10k bike when released. It was try or fail by Yamaha to create something unique on a budget. It worked. A year later the SP was born with the same öhlns suspension and TFT dash at £3k more. This costs a tenner and a really looks better in bright light.
@@Cregtech Can't get the SP here yet you can get the MT-09 SP here this year I have the 2019 MT-10 I think I paid around 13000 for the bike it is my favorite bike I can't stop fiddling with it your video's are right up my alley going to try to find some Carbon Fiber to replace some plastics also had trouble with switches I shimmed the brake lever aftermarket should address these issues some can be head scratches but figuring something out is half the fun appreciate you and your knowledge
So i know this is an old video but I wanted to ask, is there some kind of sealant or gasket for the outer cover? so when the two go together it makes a water tight seal so water doesnt get into the dash? My screen has had moisture leak into it on the backside of the protector housing and i was going to take it apart to clean it and seal it if possible. Yamaha here want $2500 for a whole new dash...
I was unable to locate any. The ones I tried did not have the contrast needed and gave a poor effect. I found one that works and just used that. There is now a company called colour clusters that do the film pre cut. I'd recommend them as they're cheaper aswell as precut.
@@Cregtech Thanks for the reply, I'll look into that! There also plenty on amazon at around £15 a sheet, wonder if they'd be any good too compared to the cheap ebay stuff. The problem with buying precut, is if you mess it up the first time!
I've ordered that film twice now and screwed it up both times.. this past time a piece of dust was in the middle of the screen so I had to scrap the whole thing. Big mad.

Am I correct in saying that link you've provided is from the US? Van you not get better quality film in the UK?

No there's nothing other than the front and rear case covers making it water tight. There's is no seal other than the join made by the those covers.
