There is no spirits or ghosts in Hinduism brother. Bhoo means earth and T means present, ie Bhoot means, everything that is on Earth. Means all earthlings. In this mantra Bhootsanghanayakam means Hero of people. If you read all scriptures and replace ghosts with Earthlings, you will understand and enjoy more.
