But Thai alphabets come from many alphabet from many countries such as India, Pali, Sanskrit, etc. which are different from Khmer alphabets that come from India alphabets only. The reason it is Thai-Khom or Thai-Khmer script is because Thais modified the script and added letters to the Thai-Khom alphabet that doesn't exist in the Khmer alphabet, similar to how modern European languages use modified Latin scripts that has letters that's not in the original Roman Latin.
