I have a pair of D’s7 from 2 weeks…and I’m very impressed how they sound especially for their size…huge sound stage and accurate details!!!

wow ...I was a little lost between the Demand D9 and the B&W 606 S2, I couldn't find anything on the Demand series... thanks for sharing, clearly I like the sound of the Demand D7, especially the spatialization...my choice is made Demand D9 😋

I had the older SM45 which were nice speakers if driven by a powerful amp. With lower powered amp, they could not come alive, really needed amplification probably current to be driven to sound good. In comparison to some other speakers they didn't present some details but I wouldn't call them veiled, but a bit laidback. recessed but could still present depth of stage.
They competed with Kef q100 well enough, with the Q100 giving a bit more detail but still not as much as other speakers I have. For these reasons I didn't consider the newer D series. Still, with the right amp Deftechs could sound amazing. I wouldn't think a Yamaha R-S202 is adequate for these speakers. Moving up a couple notches in amplification in quality and power could bring these speakers to a higher level of performance.

I basicaly like these speakers and think they're mainly very nicely balanced, with fast, tight bass..but with one giant caveat that ruins them for me. I bet some of you could guess what it is, and may feel the same. I bet some enjoy it as it is.

Good low. AC sound good. Sarah Kang feat. Anthony Lazaro.

I think the R202 is a good match with these speakers, if you're enclined to like them. It tames them a bit but keeps them clean, quick and open, with enough natural midrange and bass punch to work for me. Their bitey upper treble, not so much.

@@DougMen1 No, I don't like the look of the offset tweeter, but that isn't my caveat.
Although it wouldn't look so odd if the tweeter wasn't so silvery. That's a hint. Here's another one. It's about the sound.
Thanks for those vids. I havn't watched them yet. Too tired now. I'll check em out tomorrow.

quite a thin-sounding speaker. with emphasis in some places. slightly V character, the 8-10 kHz range is confusing.
