Nouman Ali Khan is the founder and CEO of Bayyinah. His first exposure to Arabic study was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he completed his elementary education. He continued Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examinations in 1993. But his serious training in Arabic began in the United States in 1999 under Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College, Faisalabad, Pakistan who happened to be touring the US for intensive lectures in Tafsir and Arabic studies. Under Dr. Abdus-Samie, Nouman developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman served as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College until ’06 and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 7 years with over 10,000 students nationwide. Currently he has dedicated himself to a seven-year-long project, of conducting a linguistic & literary focus Qur’anic Tafseer series in English. I just got my heart broken from a harram relationship it's been really hard, I couldn't eat or sleep since February 4 till 7 had extreme chest pain, couldn't bare it, everything that sheikh Nouman and the other sheikh said was so accurate to what just happened to me.
I dont have self respect, insecure etc and when she showed love and made me feel worth I start to completely rely on her and I knew we had so much in different and yet I thought I could change and it was a mistake and I'm in pain now I put myself into this

The heart break was too serious first time in my life I saw my nose bleeding, I couldn't continue the job I did since 2017 I quit that job this year in the end of February, till this day I'm inside my room depressed and feeling suicidal while she is with another guy doesn't even feel bad for breaking my heart and leaving me at this state of mind

This is exactly what happen with me today but its not a romantic relationship, its just a friendship, and he used to say words that makes me see myself differently and our friendship continue but then he get mad at me for a very petty reason and block me right away,,, and I am afraid I can't move on because he is always be the support system for me,, I hope God will heal me and I hope its just His way to remove bad people from my life

Salaam wa lakiuem Sara Java, I am feeling that same hopeless and helplessness. I just lost my wife after she gave birth to our son. He is turning 6 months old tomorrow. And we started struggling for past 3 months and she left me a few weeks ago. I’m trying to put my trust in allah and it has been very difficult. Extremely difficult. But islam is about hope. I hope allah swt will bring her back to me. But I know allah swt will but what’s best for me. Ameen. Keep your hope either way.

I broke away from a haram relationship last month. She used Islam to be toxic towards me and did not communicate with me and instead acted as if I did not exist anymore. She showed so many red flags and I never can see her as the mother of my children.
At first I did not even find her attractive, her personality and compassion just grew on me, but that all disappeared in a few months when she showed her true colours.
Just like stated in this video, I thought she was the one because she was my first. But the amount of red flags she showed me made me lose my love for her but because I was attached to her thinking she will change for me because we love eachother and I will change for her to make her happy, it all really messes with your head.
I still dont know to this day what her true intentions with me were, but I make dua Allah opens her heart so she understands what she actually made me go through.
These past few months ive put all my love and attachment towards Allah. I feel so much more at peace after every rakhat I pray and every ruku of quran I read. It actually feels like my connection with Allah has more meaning.
Just remember this, if you feel heartbroken from a haram relationship, then your connection with Allah is weak. Yes it is normal to feel sad at times when reminscing about them, but avoid reminiscing and occupy your time with building your connection with Allah instead.
Focus on building yourself up, chase high grades, go to the best uni possible. Try and achieve something that in the future you can look back and say it just made me better and stronger alhamdulillah.
And something that your future spouse will appreciate you for. Like getting a good job.
Wake up and work hard for your future spouse. Be the person that they would want you to be until Allah guides you to them. Dont think about your ex because they dont deserve you. You deserve better which is what Allah will grant you if you just keep making dua.
And it doesnt matter if they acted toxic towards you and persue other haram relationships or also make dua for someone new. End of the day, if you are the one who got hurt, they will be the ones suffering in the long term because the more dua they make, the more soft their heart becomes and they will realise how pathetic they were.
And then if they try come back to you, just say Allah has better for me and bid them farewell. They are not worth your time and energy. Only Allah is worthy of that and he will never break your heart.
Just remember you are not persuing a haram relationship or any future haram relationships because you are doing it for the sake of Allah and he had better for you, just have patience and trust in his plan. In the meantime, focus on yourself, your studies/work and your connection with the deen.
Then in a few years time, you will look back at this situation with gratefulness, that Allah made you go through it to come out as a better person on the other end.

She was never the one for me and I knew that deep down, but as good hearted men we want to think our first love will be our only love. So we do everything we can to make things work, we give them more attention and be how they want us to be, but these sick girls (not women) use us and play with our hearts then make it seem as if they are the victim of a haram relationship when it reality we were getting used for a period of time until they decided they don't need us anymore. And yeah, we as men should never change ourselves for girls. If you trust in Allah's plan and make sincere dua He will grant you someone that is perfect for you, and that's what I believe. No more persuing these twisted, impure girls. I shall make dua that Allah deletes that girl from my memory and then I will wait for the queen who Allah wrote my name next to.

I could relate to it totally as it was the same story with the boy i was in haram relationship i was always blinded to his red flags but i always waited for him to change but then i was proved wrong he verbally abused me and hurt me so much for bo reason but lookinh back Alhamdulillah it was my turning point of my life to connect with Allah and he will surely reward me with much better husband who will help me succeed in deen as well as duniya ameen
It used to take me years to really get over someone. Now that I pray regularly, it lasts a few days. People wonder how i’m able to be so calm and detached to things.
Salah and worship has changed my life. And I thank Allah for his guidance.

Totally agree,in first 2 years of my marriage I realised my husband is not religious person at all ..should call quit there but he promised me he will change give some time...I stayed fast forward 15 years no change with 3 kids now I realize when he doenst pray or few basic values in religion..doesnt follow...its becoming so hard as raising children with 2 different approaches...I accept my mistake... wish can tell people don't be blind..will teach my kids.

I had an arranged marriage thirty years ago. Fell in love. My husband was not very religious so i set about changing him. I lived for him sacrifice for him i did things that was duty and went beyond. I cut kinks with people because of him. I ignored all warnings from people who cared. Well he had an affair I shut my eyes he married and he said nasty things to be. I went in to depression and had anxiety attacks. I tried to accept it but still cannot get over it. We barely manage financially and he does not live at her as she she lives with her family. He wants me to act normal, but I decided after I finally undersood my place in this world that I would not pretend. I pray tahujhud and Do zijr and ask Allah for help .so yes live for Allah.

I don’t completely agree with what the speaker is saying in minute 12:12. When my parents got married to each other, my mom was very religious, wearing hijab, praying 5 times a day, doing dhikr and all other ibadahs, but my dad was not at all. My mom started to give advice to my dad about Islam and the right path, and eventually after some years my dad started heeding my mom's advice and became a really pious man. (I have been told this by both my dad and my mom). I believe sometimes love and patience can change a person's behavior.
Lucky people....sometimes I believe it too..but if they dont then generation messed up...i have been trying for 15 years..my husband didnt change at all...religion is most important, dont compromise.

MashaAllah it’s great it has worked for your parents, and they’re v lucky that it has. But what if it doesn’t? I feel as religion is extremely important, it is a way of life - therefore something not worth taking the risk with.
ayesha javed of course religion is the most important, and certainly it is only Allah swt who guides people, we are only conveyors of Allah’s message to others. Otherwise as the sheikh in the video says, we are advised by Allah swt in Qur’an to consult with other people who mean good to us and then pray salat al-istikhara whenever we have to make important decisions, such as marriage compatibility.
Allah wanted to help your dad to get on the right path and he used your mom to help him. But it difficult to keep advising someone to do this and that and it won’t happen until Allah is ready for it to happen.

I feel the same, however I ask you to not marry for the wrong reasons, I made that mistake. It was the hardest lessons I had to learn. Alhamdulillah I now have someone that I am compatible with.
Please trust in Allah (swt) l, he is the best planner. Sometimes we may think we know best, but there are lessons we must learn. I really would have preferred to be patient and have more trust in Allah (swt) from my past. Insh' Allah you will find the partner that is compatible with you, just be patient and trust Allah(swt). Please don't settle. Islam teaches us to 'look at our potential spouse' until we see something we like or desire. Before we agree upon marriage. You have to be compatible in some kind of way. And have the same humor, intellect, values and ethics. I made the mistake to settle because I thought he would change and had to get used to the married life. But he was not ready and married because of the pressure from his family. No chemistry whatsoever... Wait for the right person and be the person you wish to meet. Have the character and love for yourself you wish to find in your spouse.

Expectation from others is the root cause of umpteen problems; it does not only let the venom of hatred seep deep into our heart, but also makes us moody, gloomy and spiteful person.
Do expect - only positive- from Allah Subhanwatala, not from mortal soul. Then your world will change drastically, bringing ray of hope and glimmer of wisdom. Once your heart will be cleansed, mind will inevitably sense calmer vibes around.
I struggle with getting over someone who treated me like shit, but coz i was so attached to that person emotionally, it was really hard fr me. Only when i was praying my salah, i found how stupid it was, and hw shitty the person was. And hw badly she treated me, for everything i did for her, i almost destroyed myself for her, only thing that can help overcome any soughta addiction or attachment is salah! 🙌

Its better to take some abuse warn that person and get counceling than just leaving like that, there is a reason Allah gave 3 talaq options, just because someone wronged you doesnt mean he will wrong you forever, you need to give 2. and 3. chances if you want love to prevail, love is somethibg worth fighting for and enduring pain for, because it is the most beautiful thing that Allah gave us humans, proof is that the favourite thing in thid world to Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him was Aisha.
If you want trauma and depression then give up at the 1. problem, if you want hope, love and certainty then endure pain and pray for the one who caused it to you, most of the time the spouse that loves you woulf never do the same mistakes that made you want to leave them.

Just realise, there is no pain compared to divorce when children are involved, so you may feel pain being young but that pain will subside but you can never subside the pain you feel choosing the wrong husband and having kids, having to look at your kids everyday knowing that you couldn't provide a real family for them because you selfishly rushed it, that pain is a lot worse, at the moment it's just an a 2 b relationship with you and no family involved so count your lucky stars and move on
