Love how fun and campy the Spectra dolls are. Tom Comet, especially, has always stood out to me from this line, since he's just so unique. Great review!
You moved the dog side to side and the dog never stopped looking directly at me 👀😆 that is kind of creepy lol 😂 I still love him and all of it. They are so expensive and rare! I hope they reboot these guys ❤
He's on my list! I bought an in box Spectra doll (pink hair) and did have to repair her legs because the plastic piece had degraded but it was an easy fix. There were fashion packs and I was able to get a lot of 4 inbox at a great price. Love this line!
8:45 I'm pretty sure it's a wind up toy. You crank the white end piece and then when you set it down it should move around. My Tom Comet's pants disintegrated.
Great Video, Spectra deserves more press than she gets. I also LOVE the Spectra line of dolls. Their bodies are reused molds from the late 70's Mattel line "Young Sweethearts". The Young Sweethearts did have articulated wrists and ankles but with Spectra, Mattel chose to eliminate those points of articulation. All the dolls use new sculpts with a 1987 trademark. The shoe mold that came with the female dolls were reused in the mid 90's when the Gymnast Barbie body first came out. Dance Moves Barbie came with them as well as several shoe packs specifically for that body type. Spectra was released initially without earrings, but later, she was issued with star shaped earrings. Spark was sold separately and also in a gift set with spectra (she came with earrings too). It's my thought that mattel had high hopes for this line taking off as there was more planned for the line but sales were less than and caused cancelation.
Great doll... I want one nyo!

These are really cool and I hope somebody brings them back someday or something like them!
Omg, cute! Thank you for sharing! I want one for his clothes! His outfit would look so good on my Mini!
I love his outfit! 😍
Omg love him..reminds me of Adam ant from the 90s
I mean... wow!! I'm an 80s kid and I never seen these dolls before!! Great review, thank you ☺️🌻
You are so welcome! 🥰
Hi
Loooooooved my Spectra doll! 🎉
It was supposed to be a mercy toon franchise which didn’t launch in time of the 80s💞💞
12:55 and you know earth girls are easy 😂

Nice! I want a reboot of this line 🤪
She had pink ballet flats… the did come with shoes😊
That sound effect when your name pops up on screen (konk) cracks me up so bad 😂😂😂
🤪
Tom looks like Rio from jem and the holograms too
They definitely have similar hair!

$12.99?!! That's a lot of money for a doll from the 80s?!! I wonder how much they cost in Canada, no worder they didn't sell.
I really want to get a spectrum doll. I found one at my local Goodwill however it was missing their legs
I know she is from Mattel, but her face and hair looks more like Jem?!
Kind of weird

It’s a bummer that the line didn’t last long. Definitely unique!
