I am glad you got Chickens... I got my baby chicks August of 2020... They started Laying by January and have been a lot of fun! I think everyone had changes in 2020... and now a year later we are still trying to push through all the nonsense and focus on having a good life! Your videos are such and encouragement... So happy to have found you!
I get so excited when I see you've put up a new video! My vote is for chickens, hands down. More eggs, they eat more kitchen scraps, aren't as stinky, and if you want, the actual bird tastes better if you decide (or need) to eat them. Chicken fertilizer is an excellent addition to compost too. A tip that helps with keeping their food and water containers cleaner is to either hang them or put them on a pallet. Hanging them keeps the chickens from sitting in or on them because it feels unstable. Putting them on a pallet works like a mat to wipe your feet, the bits on their feet get knocked off a bit before they get to the feeder/waterer. Another thing to keep in mind is that ducks wings have to be clipped and they like more water. Ducks are hilarious and their eggs are bigger, that's a plus for them! Thanks Nicki!
I look forward to these videos . nothing else like them .. really appreciate all your efforts a big thanks to you and family .. I am missing Italy so much .. and look at little Holly enjoying every moment xx🌈🌈🌈🐕🐕🐕🐿🐿🐿🐇🐇🐇🌳🌳🌳🌳⚘⚘⚘
Hi Nicki, from Toowoomba, Qld, Australia. Thankyou for presenting a great lot of happy and amazing videos. Today (I'm binge watching during a shutdown) I saw the HUGE 'hole' rocks and had a very happy flash-back to our boatride past those jaw dropping scenes to one of the grottos. Aarrhhh ❤😊 Wonderful! I love EVERY video. Ciao 🥰
We’ve been to Positano, more specifically Montepertuso twice over the last few years so watching your videos reminds us of how much we loved it there. Thanks for posting them.
Thank you thank you thank you Nicki n Carlo .. never get tired of your vids so entertaining .. specially liked your book reviews, will def look at the one written by the lady from the 60's & 70's .. would be great to see her insight into Positano back then .. & Carlo we ALWAYS enjoy your cheeky smile - l can imagine you getting up to mischief! Thanks again so much Nicki for sharing your lives with us .. cn see it's still cool there - here north of Brisbane it's 30 all this week. Can you send some cool over to us pls .. cheers Tony & Pam
This is Greg's wife Robin here (I share his email account). I stumbled across your channel a few days ago and have been binging on your stories. Love the colours, the dishes you create, the scenic excursions! You would have to be the most stylish gardener! I like the matter of fact way you talk about the pros and cons of life there, without complaint.
Im thoroughly enjoying these vlogs even tho I'm 4 years late 😂. Funny how things have changed. Funny that Carlo doesnt feature much, fast forward 4 years and he's a mini superstar😂. ❤
I'm truly enjoying your weekly vlogs, thank you for taking the time to do it. Those cliffs, OMG, I never thought I was afraid of heights, but when I watch you all walking along on these hikes, I'm sitting here cringing lol. I love to hear Carlo speak Italian, it reminds me so much of my grandfather. I wish I had learned more of it. Thank you also for the great book suggestions, they all sound wonderful. I miss Italy specifically the Amalfi Coast, I hope to get back there one day! Looking forward to next week's vlog. It maybe boring to you, but the life you live there in Positano is just so different than like here in New Jersey. I love the complex and simplicity of it all.
God made this world so beautiful.. Different colors, shapes, animal n everything... But everywhere we don't take care of nature n it's sad... But videos like urs brings awareness among us.... Every country is beautiful if we keep it beautiful
Fantastic scenery! You must have solid leg muscles with all that walking and up and down steps 😂 I’m in the Spanish mountains but your videos remind me how much I love to see the sea as well xx
I love your veggie garden, ours is much smaller so we don’t get as much out of it. Thankyou for showing the Amalfi Coast books, I have Amanda’s My Amalfi Coast and love it. i think I’ll get the beaches book next. I look forward to coming back to that beautiful part of the world. Love from Australia x
I love your videos and watch one after the other which unfortunately makes me forget to tick ‘like’. So consider this a thousand likes for the ones I’ve forgotten. Love the scenery and your every day goings on. Keep them coming.
Hi Nicki you have a lovely jar there.Yes you really live in an amazing place. And you have great collection of books about Amalfi coast.I wish i can get one of them. Keep safe over there Nicki Carlo and Skye🥰
Glad you decided on chickens. Ducks are lovely too but apparently they are very messy. I miss our three Girls (PP, Cilla and Lulu). Thankfully we managed to find a forever home for them before we sold up and went overseas. Still not settled enough to have some more. They are such characters. We had no problems with our cat and the Girls.
Hi Nicki & Carlo, your video was fantastic! You, my girl are never boring! You always show us both sides of the “coin” which is delightful! Miss Holly and the kitties are so adorable. 😻❣️🐶 I would have voted chickens with maybe one duck. 🐓🐓🦆 looking forward to your next video!! Thank you 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ahhh! We had espresso and a pastry at Zi"Peppe after a hairy taxi ride from Sorrento. The walk down into Positano was beautiful. All misty in early June. All the flowers out and buzzy bees.
I will check out some of the books you were showing. What a beautiful German Shepard. I use to have a really big one, huge head, I miss him so. He passed at a newly 13 yrs Oct. 2015.
Another great video I love the honesty in your videos Nicki that show real life on the Amalfi coast, great spot for the chickens, my partners sister has a similar size space down here in Devon and they are really easy to look after, all the best.
Love the Virgin Mary in the cave. I love that you record all them little shrines in the walls too. I'm not religious at all, I just think they add charm to the little alley ways etc, specially at nights when lit up.
I am loving your videos! Thank you for all the time & effort you put in to show us what the locals live like in and around Positano :) Oh, and it looks like you live in Montepertuso. If so, I have been and adore that little hillside town. I chose to stay there instead of Positano because I wanted to experience a smaller towns with less tourism. I stayed at Il Pertuso B&B and LOVED it. Wonderful family and beautiful rooms. Definitely need a scooter to get around though! As I watched you hike all the way to the top of the mountain for lunch, I wondered if that was the path they call "Stairs to Heaven"? I never got the chance to do it but we did some lovely hikes around montepertuso and Nocelle. What a life you have Nicki! Thanks again for sharing.
Oh Nicki, this is my favourite video of yours. You grow and grow. So glad you went for chickens. Now how to keep the cats at bay? I get so much pleasure from your sharing your life. Well done and keep it up please. Love Linda
Hi Nicki, I’m a new sub. I’ve been binge watching all your videos. I love the stunning views. I was in Italy last September and I’m scheduled to go back in August of next year. Have not been to Positano so I’m just indulging on all the views you provide while on your walks. Greetings from New York City. Oh....(my Vote: Chickens 🐓) 👍🏽
Nicki...you and Carlo give the non-Tourist Party Party reality to Life on the Amalfi Coast. Love that you have gotten back to weekly videos! My girlfriend and I love watching them. We are looking forward to the next one! And Thank You so much for the Book List!!! Do you try to catch the Sunset daily? And...do you and Carlo ever go on local Adventures at night along the Amalfi Coast?
I like this video! You should try to do it again when there are flowers? Are there flowers in the spring along that trail? It is so gorgeous either way! Love watching your videos
So our friends have ducks on their farm and although they are very cute, they are also messy creatures! Be prepared for lots and lots of poop! We also have friends who have chooks and they seem to be tidier. They have built cages where the ducks and chooks are free to roam during the day and locked up during the night to protect them from predators!
Loving these regular video's Nicki.....thanku so much!!!! Felt a bit guilty though as we sat here on our sofa eating 🍌 cake (your recipe 😁) & coffee watching u do all that walking 🤣😛 But so worth it for those breathtaking views... just WOW!!!!! ❤💋💋💋 Fr Australia
When did you initially move into the house? It seems like you have done a lot to the property just in the past two years, while we have been watching you...are you glad that you got chickens or would you wish for ducks now?
Instead of chickens 🐓 how about rabbits 🐇? In my youth from that height that you were at I would be paragliding from there...awesome! I Great sunset 🌅 by the way.
So fun to watch and to know that you ended up with chickens. I know that youʻre English and drink a lot of tea. I have seen your wine making video but do you and Carlo ever drink wine?
I love your videos, but I get soooo scared of you and Carlo and Holly climbing so high on those narrow pathways. I guess it’s scarier going down. You can guess I’m afraid of heights.
I think ducks are more entertaining to watch but much messier. Maybe once you get settled with the girls you can get a couple ducks and a guardian goose?
We currently have 12 chicken hens. I recommend not having a rooster if you can help it. Nothing is worse than cracking open an egg and finding a fetus! Hope to run into you in October!
Thanks again Nicki & Carlo ( & Luca'! ) another great informative time in your garden .. Nicki do you have any details for your Patron account ?? Cheers thanks again Tony n Pam Sunshine Coast Qld Australia
would the book by Amander Tabberer be maggie Tabbere's daughter , I grew up in Paddington and was aware of many celebrities living in Woollahra/Paddington area
Don’t ducks need a pond? You might suddenly find them in your swimming pool! We used to have chickens at my parents house when I was younger, and their eggs were awesome. We also had a few ducks, but I wouldn’t recommend them. Very noisy creatures, and no use at all, so we finally ate them!
Oh my gosh..never 'boring'. Thank you so much for sharing your lives with us. The scenery is food for the soul..
